I barely use my old iPhone, but… I’m constantly on my tablet, which I also use to draw and to make music… I try to eradicate realtime news from my fedi feed, which isn’t easy, and it doesn’t take much of it to slip through and fuel the fear… but my feed also brings me so much joy and inspiration and even a sense of community, which I don’t get as easily from my RSS feed. Such a high wire act. I’ll be trying those exercises ❤️

I’m of two minds about music videos. On the one hand, they can be really cool, but on the other hand, video killed the radio star.
I know too many people from the MTV era onwards who confuse music and video, can’t enjoy the former without the latter, and I think that’s when music started dying as a major art form in the eyes (pun intended) of the general public.
I do watch some and enjoy them (including yours 🤩), but I could live without the video part.

I’m old, but the #1 discovery mechanism has always been the radio. In France, we have this public station called #FIP that’s been around forever, than only plays music, of every conceivable genre (from classical to jazz to world to modern to weird), old and new. Unfortunately, they now have thematic channels online, which is precisely what hinders discovery (or narrows it too much).

Donc oui, j’ai décidé que la version instrumentale est finie. Mais…
J’ai écrit des paroles en français qui suivent une mélodie, et des paroles en anglais qui suivent une autre mélodie.
Le morceau est destiné à un album collectif et j’hésite donc à envoyer :
- La version instrumentale
- La version française
- La version anglaise
- La version bilingue (une langue dans chaque oreille 😄)

Je n’arrête pas de repenser à l’article de Ted Chiang dans le New Yorker. Créer, c’est faire des centaines voire des milliers de choix, petits et grands, et parfois arriver dans des contrées qu’on n’avait absolument pas prévu d’explorer au départ. En l’occurrence, je vais peut-être choisir de décréter que j’ai fini mon morceau. Faut voir ^^

Ça fait des années que je ne vais plus au #cinéma (et que je ne télécharge plus de films). Même avant de déménager à la cambrousse. Marre de m’ennuyer ferme 9 fois sur 10. Sûrement un truc de vieux : sujets qui ne me parlent pas et/ou jeunots qui réinventent la roue pour la nième fois.
La #misophonie n’aide pas (popcorn).
En revanche ce qui me manque, c’est les siestes au cinéma. Qu’est-ce j’y ai bien dormi, y compris quand j’étais jeune.
