I am more than a little upset at the internet (in this case reddit) asking me if I'm over 18 for a post about SEXUAL EDUCATION!!! If there's anything kids should be able to access around sex, it's sex-ed material. I hate what the internet has become and how authoritarian it is to young people.

I think the best way to prevent road deaths is simple, deprioritize the car and individual transport. Less cars is less accidents, and where you still have cars you slow them down and frustrate the drivers as much as possible. One good way to do that (and reach your climate goals on top!) is just investing heavily in public transport instead of roads and cars. We won't win the "EV wars" with China anyway, if you wish to go green you will not beat their EVs. Just builld trains, we're good at that here still regardless.

I will ask here because I feel like there might be enough literary nerds around. I need to read a good amount for an exam I need to do to get into university for the English subject.
I am looking for 1 book from before 1900 and one after (fiction, non fantasy) that will pass their "literary enough" sniff test, that preferably isn't written by a cishet white man. I was thinking Frankenstein at first—but I am guessing they categorize it as "fantasy" or a book with a movie—since she isn't on the definitely pre-approved list and I can't imagine missing her (which is strange because Douglas Adams, George Orwell, J.R.R Tolkien are, but I digress).
Virginia Woolf is so I think I'll read one of her books for post 1900, give me a suggestion for one to read (haven't read her at all).
But that leaves one pre-1900 novel, so feel free to suggest one for either.

It is good to be outraged at ICE, and this anger is best directed at the system itself. If we look at history, only appreciable difference between ICE and other cops is that ICE is supposedly only meant to target people considered subhumans by the state (non US citizens). Other cops have also repeatedly murdered and gotten away with it, to people like Floyd. Good is a victim in a long string of various police violence.

You're very right, on the other hand stuff about Ireland from Irish people is just qualitatively a lot better in a lot of respects. I really enjoyed watching Derry girls for instance, it's a good show and taught me a few things about Ireland.

I don't know a single anarchist personally that wants to "burn society to the ground" at all tbh. There's a big difference between we don't want any mode of societal reproduction that is hierarchical and oppressive, and we don't want society to function in any what analogous to now. There's obviously a million different ways of organizing things and a million different ways anarchists see things as working.
But I don't see why production of medication, something anarchists already do collectively (see for example the four thieves vinegar collective), would be halted in case of a social revolution of some sort. Also mind that revolution doesn't have to be a single event that completely changes society in a cleansing fire, a lot of anarchist (including me) see anarchism not as a noun but a verb. The main aspect of doing anarchism is to build community and community resilience, one aspect of which is continued access to medical services and other basic necessities.

When the fascists say "biological" what they clearly only mean is "state sanctioned". Pronouns are a function of language to anyone who understands even the slightest bit about language, and especially ones with no gendered pronouns. It is a ridiculous infringement on your right to express yourself to not be able to self identify with something as socially constructed as a word.

The name "ptouch" seems slightly on the nose for also adding porn to your repository. I really wish people would stop using women's bodies as if they are a test bed, Lena Forsén also didn't ask to be used in that way. I'm sure this "Tara" didn't either, and it's honestly vile.

Buy with what? I think it's the thing they make themselves, to tax with. Bonds are a way to make taxes optional for rich people, like so many other financial constructions. Taxes themselves are made to give the money value through extortion. People wouldn't really need or want money if they didn't have to pay debts to the government and capitalists to survive and not get locked up or murdered.
