Buy with what? I think it's the thing they make themselves, to tax with. Bonds are a way to make taxes optional for rich people, like so many other financial constructions. Taxes themselves are made to give the money value through extortion. People wouldn't really need or want money if they didn't have to pay debts to the government and capitalists to survive and not get locked up or murdered.
