You definitely have a more holistic view of the the rust stack in Fedora than I do, but I will point out this wasn't a single look into it. Before I noticed is_executable, I had a few false starts trying to package rust programs. Each time I gave up after the transitive dependencies went over 100 (not even close to the final count either).
