Well I could have saved myself some time, perhaps.

It did occur to me that maybe the illustration was for the essay. A metaphoric birth (the eggshell), discovery of fire, I have no idea what the disc is... some sort of losses which provide the key for us to unlock rocket science, with a goal of extra-planetary life on the horizon.

All set in the ancient bones of Earth's geological timeline.
