my thought about when anything looks like a drug or a toxin has “caused Autism,” is that no genius has yet developed the mastery to “cause,” a human brain that works at all, but that perhaps some things can harm your Allism first. Doesn’t “cause,” any particular neurotype but maybe sometimes the newest parts (and I think Allism is ten thousand years old, tops) get hurt first.

Poisons cause brain damage, and every brain damaged mouse or person isn’t Autistic - but maybe many of the damaged really aren’t Allistic anymore?
