I noticed my age in 70's finally caught up to me last year and do not approve of the symptoms that came with it ... slower reactions ,vertigo, and have missed a step with cane once which is leading to moving to senior housing ...
I was fortunate to be one who had the luxury of being younger than my age by almost 10 yrs till suddenly I was not .. NO wonder elders never talked about anything ... not the kind of magic to relish...
At least you still do pets which I discontinued after losing last one 12 yrs ago and not sure if able to move into other housing with and is difficult to do here
1st move in 35 yrs glad but scared ...

English Breakfast is another good one and the Roobois red is also good.. I have 40 different teas in house ..
I go thru stages of tea or coffee and make a wild chamomile lemon and black tea in huge amounts and can to be drank hot or cold for purging inflammation for a 6 month period and it helps with a few other things

all crop land has to be summerfallowed in order to replenish the land for the best of any crop and had grown up whole life on farm and then also the manure from livestock was also added to the soil to help recondition .. and then crop rotation as well

Am with you there about good music .. had grown up when family had a Victorola stand up turntable and 78's to getting 45's in cereal boxes and no machine to use and only radio hearing the music of the time and changing channels from country to current easy listening...of the time...
TV came in 1959
Radio being the best connection as was on all day when on a farm before phone arrived in 1965
The music back then was pretty good and even better in the 70's life of cassettes and 8 tracks and going to dance clubs
At my age have not had any radio or TV on in a few years now ..only use a tablet as an education tool and conversation as a penpal ...
There is so much noise in the world in and out of homes these days ...

Bison is very tasty but has to have beef fat added to it because it is too lean and can be too dry .. it also costs alot more than beef ...and supply their fur to make coats like they used too many years ago ... My father wore one .. it probably was his father's from 100 years ago ...

you just may not have enough people to actually talk to ... maybe do your walks with Charlie and then find somewhere other seniors hang out ..
it may be earlier as some are at places as soon as they open after the walk of few hours and have someone to kibbutz with
.. heard many a great friendship started that way ... sorry have no idea where you live or how close places maybe to do this .. as am in a city myself and have friends who have done this most of senior life as to not disturb wife when she sleeps .. their antics can occur from 4am or some days sooner ...
Am here to do my help and ramblings since am disabled ... miss those days of running for miles and dancing 6 days a week or even just going for a drive when want too ..

Having worked in the past with US customs people at airports and know how there is very limited cooperation with them and they are very secretive ... I DO NOT think that allowing them more access than given to Canadian workers is a good thing as then we are not given the same access as equals on our own territories and Americans go way beyond their reach on Canadian lands ...there are limits that should be kept in place ...for BOTH sides ...

I get it ..as am an rock enthusiast as well and have a small flat rock as well that once remained in pants pocket to get left for quite a while in a coat pocket and is now in a jewelry box with other treasures but had left a lasting memory in ones mind of its exsistance ...it was given too me from my daughter when she was very young ...Rocks can be fascinating for what they contain in shape and color ...to ponder what happened in their still lifes...

My first fax machine was getting so many faxes from a company who changed their number and made a deal for the paper rolls wasted to let them have the business I got from my machine...
Then machine was nice and quiet but remained plugged in and it burned out just by being operational ...
Lesson learned ... ONLY plug in when going to make use of machine...SHOULD get many more years of use

It just after 5 am and did soup and and canned 11 jars of tea and drank one then watched a couple of movies ...
It's 16 here now and am cooling down house ... but expecting only 23 later .. was warmer yesterday ...
Will have to see what I get at next maybe outside after another sleep soon ... maybe will get some groceries also ...
No bread or eggs in house and miss having breakfast sausage also ..will see

Vehicles are built for MEN
Have attempted to drive or rent or buy some where cannot reach pedals or getting in is they are too high seats and corners would break down fast
When one gets older the body loses height up to 5 inches or more and does not help when short already of 5'4" then lose the 5 inches
Huge disadvantage for seniors especially women...

Totally understand that as my 1st car was a 64 Dodge Polara with a 318 ..old 312 and think a person could stand in motor and do some jobs because you could see the ground in places..
Was a very clean organized place and I could do the odd job in motor myself when was younger coming from being on the farm
