I fundamentally understand what you mean when you say that we have to move away from fossil fuels no matter what, and I completely agree with you. However, all the scientists I have heard or read about on this topic confirm that nuclear power plants are not suitable for bridging “dark doldrums” because they cannot be easily shut down and restarted.
