if a link for a video, image or text that has a news story is knocked down, just by having a cid, the same publication could be recovered without depending on servers and https links that are used daily.
and in which each user has their own node, in which they can save the file on their node, ensuring that there is always a copy of a publication that they try to delete on one, hundreds or thousands of nodes

That was with a proper dslr and expensive lens, however the theory is the same and you ought to be able to do that on a mobile now. You'd need a tripod and shoot in burst mode amd even then the moon would move, so when stacking the shots the software would have to compensate for that. I might try it, thinking about it.
