☕ 1. CAPPUCCINO AFTER 11:00 AM IS A CRIME.
For Italians, cappuccino is strictly a breakfast drink. Ordering it at lunch, dinner, or even worse, alongside a plate of pasta is the fastest way to flag yourself as a tourist. After meals, you only order an espresso or a macchiato.
🧀 2. NEVER PAIR GRATED CHEESE WITH SEAFOOD.
Asking for parmigiano or pecorino to sprinkle over spaghetti alle vongole or any seafood pasta makes Italian chefs shudder. The strong flavor of the cheese overpowers the delicacy of fresh fish. If the waiter does not bring cheese, do not ask for it.
