Agreed. But I'd add a couple additional reasons to the two you mentioned:
Reason #3: Bureaucracy and red tape is driving up the cost of production.
Reason #4: Lack of market competition prevents true price discovery of goods to take place.

- Upstream Ractor Integration: Switched to the upstream Ractor implementation to keep things clean and standardized.
- Privacy Boost: Onion + SOCKS5 routing is well underway
- Stability & Protection: Improved gossip protocols and new inbound/reconnect protections to keep the network resilient against resource-heavy peers.

2010, in the midst of the troublesome icelandic volcano, i’m at seatac boarding a flight back to LHR.
at the time of departure, LHR had actually just had to close again due to the ash, but it was expected to clear in time for arrival, so the captain announced that we’d depart, the intention would be to go to heathrow, but if it didnt reopen as planned, they were carrying extra contingency fuel to either hold or go somewhere else.

“I’ll call you when we are about an hour out and we know where we’re landing.” She said.
