Here is a question nobody probably cares about. What speech synthesizer or multiple is your favorite and why? I prefer reading anything at all with truVoice and either version of the microsoft voices, as well as eloquence but I'd presume truVoice would be even faster in terms of could probably run on a brailleNote and perform well. On my iPhone, I'm currently using TruVoice peter but at some point will switch to microslop sam. If I didn't have the choice like before a few weeks ago? I'd migrate from Eloquence Reed to Apple Alex. Now, however? Total insane freedom! Grab a copy today! Any voice! Soon the brailleLite voice! Speech synths to me are glasses.

@nprofile…lter well, it’s basically the same as a lot of the other ones, but it saves everything into its own notebooks, sort of thing. It doesn’t have to rely on skills when it can rely on code. But, that doesn’t mean that the others aren’t still good. I wonder the best one all around? I mean, I know that that is subjective, but there must be a good screen reader accessible one right? Maybe the GitHub copilot?

I find it, unknown how to feel, but I know doctors who for whatever reason peruse my freaking mastodon feed. That is interesting? Sometimes I wish I knew the proper things or words to say to some of these interesting things. Some very cool riders who I knew from when I was a kid, this guy I heard on youtube. Beautiful guy. @nprofile…lter Yeah, and they have to roll back entire hours of commits because they don’t know what one thing broke, then they roll us all back to a shitty version that breaks lists and stuff on Mac. It’s a weird concept, but I guess that’s what happens when you don’t know coding or git very well. do you see why I haven’t released any of my vibe coded slop yet? This is why I have really not even much played with any of these AI coding things because I don’t know what I’m doing yet.

I wonder how many windows blindys who try linux end up sticking with it or going back to their old windows ways of crackin and hackin registries? I know quite a bit of them do that, they want things to just work, and if it means they can be lazy and press a few buttons and cheat or quote, fix, end quote, the silly system rather than having to enter all the commands, they’ll do it. It’s amazing to see how many blind people can be very easily tested that way. I'd either admit to being lazy whatever day I installed shindows or make a long article about why I migrated. Windows is a past tense.

I am greatful for the access we do have, and slightly appalled at the state of inaccessibility in linux, along with nobody explaining why wayland is better or not for accessibility than x11. Is it a matter of accessibility is truely better in x11, or blind people are stubborn and don’t want to modernize

They used to be this badge or I forget this company where I heard about this phone mount that I would really want to find again in which basically you could mount the phone to the chest and walk around with it mounted and then the camera could be the eyes for the blind person. I wish to remember what this was called.

Human voice LLC, is that a real company? Is it seriously legitimate? Can I literally contact Dennis Klatt’s grandchild and say, so I as a blind person legally can use dectalk, port it to ios, and give it to my fello blind friends for free?

I want to build a braille display for the blind, and open it. I really desperately hope that Blazy engineering, @nprofile…9rt2 opens it or comes out with details on how it was made, so other companies or even users like me who want to build an entire braille display of our own, can do so. Open up your research and things please? Sharing is caring, right? I think that they should also be a little bit more transparent about the github dectalk they use, and also, will the display use piezo pins? Does humanware and APH and them know you're using their pins? I'd assume so. There's also the braille me, who my tech teacher describes as making a thwack sound rather than an orbited click, which I can immitate the orbit reader refresh sound. Most of us can though.

All right, I know nobody will probably care about this, but I’m thinking about tactile vision with a braille display as my next obsession. Has anyone done this yet using something like an ereader or orbit? I bet an orbit would be slow, oh yes it would, but something fast like a humanware quality display would get the job done. It'd be basic, but the point is the camera in realtime would line by line, in sort of stairstep 5 squared I belieofe, 5 4'd, you could make a very weird but, braille and as braille and weird as braille is, it'd make sence maybe or not. I just wish I had another obtweestic braille obsessed blindy to geek out and think concepts with. It’s very simple. First of all, all I would have to do is somehow, well actually it’s very hard, mapping the pixels to braille. The concept is simple, have. BRLTty or something quickly display certain pixels that'd be turned into braille symbols making the shape. Then, it'd just refresh every 2 seconds or more, or less. The whole thing would be opened sourced and runnable on an iPhone which would be who knows how freakin hard that'd be to do. I don't. I will throw this post into chatgpt and see what it says though, that's for sure. I just want it, I want to then have vOICe and visionbraille or whatever we call it running at the same time. Then, I'll have the metaGlasses on for the AI what's around me bullshit, with my other hand touching whatever I need like a cane, and my mouth being it's standard echo locatie batMan vision.

@nprofile…rpdp Well, I actually asked three questions. So do you mean yes to all three? Because some blind folks can’t just grab and flick, Summit takes practice. Although it also depends on the size of the bong too. I would probably start with a small pipe, though, but even some blind people struggle with that, but it’s very simple, aim, the lighter towards the end of whatever you’re trying to light. I just want to be able to help people like Xander or I think maybe Ol Zack or my friend Kenna who have trouble lighting lighters.

@nprofile…rpdp That's so cool!! I wonder if they make a fidget spinner version of that. I'll use innosearch to take a look and see if they make one. Woot to innosearch AI. It's a handy tool, but it'll never replace human Evaluations. Though it's very useful. I would recommend checking it out, they also have a phone line and you can use it to get information about flights.

I wonder if they make magsafe speakers or crazy items like a magsafe harddrive or something insane. A magsafe microphone set that has 4 microphones on it. Insanity.

I just ordered a magsafe little battery thingy from a brand called lisen. I have never used magsafe yet so this'll be a treat for me. I'm excited because I bought a waterproof case for my phone and i'll b able to just charge the little battery and charge my phone a little bit without a cable. Both the case and battery cost me together about I'd estimate 50 bucks? This case is a Lanhiem waterproof case. It blocks the bottom speaker when the charger port is covered by the flap, which is kind of dumb because that means the speaker outlet on the bottom is fake, like Mr. Magic.

To clerify, I don't hate or dislike pnuma solutions or anything like that. I just wish we knew exactly what we were paying for, like what's the tech behind it? I understand though, a company can't be completely transparent I guess. Although I’m sure there are companies that are completely transparent. But I'm not pnuma, and I don't know their reasons. I'm sure they're not selfish blind people, which my other post would make me myself seem like. It's not really the fact I'm selfish, I just wanna know. I wanna know the tech behind the awesome things like RIM and sero. I should just ask. Why don't I do that? I should. I should stop wondering all the time and just start asking. I'd be a lot more happier that way and less fast at thought I'd imagine. I just never know who to ask or if they wanna answer. The truths simple though. If people don't wanna answer, they won't. Some will with time, which I learned myself, but some have other priorities, which are completely understandable. I need to become a better communicator. That'll be my next thing I figure out. How to care enough to communicate questions, thoughts, etc to people and organisations I like or see potential in. That’s why I have so many letters crafted in my head,

I hope Mike and Matt have great friends who care as much as they do about making great products to help themselves and other blind people. I like what they do, I just kinda wish I knew exactly what I was paying for in terms of certain things like Sero and rim and all that. What's the tech behind it? Why are we able to pay so little? 9 dollars a month is a good price in my opinion. At least, it's not 100 bucks a month. Though the obvious I still think about, not all good things last forever. I wanna ask Ol Mikey Calvo, so what happens when you die? What happens when pnuma goes under? What will you do when hopefully another blind person makes a free RIM alternative that's as simple as rim but completely free? Think about the obvious. We're only paying for hope. If matt and mike die, boom. We're screwed. Unless hopefully when they do, we get fun blind people who disclose their tech and freely share and care.
