Everyone is getting richer, it’s just the rich are getting richer at an extremely accelerated rate while the poor are getting richer at a rate that isn’t as fast.
In theory, a poor person today is better off than they were even 20 years ago.
However, the problem is things like zoning laws, medical regulation, government loans for college, etc. make goods, and services more expensive over time.
The problem is ai is a big bet, perhaps the biggest one humanity has ever made.
The people that are investing millions to trillions want to be on the winning side of the bet because if you own the resources, and infrastructure needed for ai you’ll essentially get an indefinite amount of labor for a drastic cost reduction, we’re going from $20,000 to $100,000+/year for inefficient human labor for probably $5 to $10/year worth of tokens.
People are betting on 1 being the most likely scenario, and whoever breaks the wall first is going to be the biggest winner.

I agree that global decentralization is ideal but not a must, as far as I’m aware Z-cash is just as decentralized as Monero, & Bitcoin.
I have used Z-cash, & so far haven’t had any noticeable issues.
It’s not my preferred currency but it is one that I would utilize if needed.
I used Z-cash when it was worse back in the ~20%+ dev tax days, etc., & gave Zooko my thoughts, & feedback, & it looks like he implemented most of it.
Z-cash used to be way worse back then, not saying it’s perfect but it’s made a lot of improvements.
Unfortunate, I have heard many people have been having issues lately.
I know Vitor is a good dev, so I imagine he’ll fix it.

I am aware of the post by Zooko, contemplating such a feature but the tech of Halo 2 implemented a Backward Secrecy mechanism, while it was true that under the previous trusted set up Z-cash could have been exploited this is no longer the case.
To give an equivalence, it’s like how under Monero’s current system of ring signatures a flood attack could reduce the ring set, whereas with FCMP++ this becomes drastically harder, if not impossible.
The bug if exploited would only impact the orchard pool (shielding), and not the transparent pool since Z-cash has a limitation on how many coins can enter, and leave a privacy pool (Turnstiles).
A developers national origin is redundant in most regards.

Monero is the number 10-iest of them all.
It has easier beginner friendly privacy, lower fees, & more reliable/consistent settlement times.
Bitcoin is only pseudonymous which can be deanonymized when you’re tied to a transaction.
With Monero the only way you can be deanonymized is if the government bought a bunch of supercomputers to flood the network (under the current protocol of ring signatures, FCMP++ fixes this), or they hack into your personal device/network, which no currency could counteract.

(In all honesty, the drama personally is overblown since they’ve both have contributed a great amount to The Freedom Ecosystem.
However, there can be some concerning things to say when money is involved, most, if not all people regardless of moral, or ethical virtue tend to become extremely hostile when money is involved.
In the ideal world they would find a way to resolve it peacefully but I know people sometimes don’t work like that, if they have a nuetral third party between them, it’d be nice if that person was allowed to moderate between the two.)
