I’ve been part of the core Fanfares team for more than a year now.
There’s so much cool stuff we’ve built, and so much I’ve wanted to talk about. I went through a lot personally this year, so I wasn’t able to share nearly as much as I wanted to. But behind the scenes, we kept building together.
Fanfares has come a long way.
We now have on-device media processing and encryption, split payments powered by Cashu, Blossom support, and an architecture built on top of Nostr.
And one of my favorite parts: the backend is lightweight enough to be hosted on a $2.50 ESP32 board.
A lot went into getting here. I’m looking forward to finally sharing more about what we’ve built, how it works, and some of the engineering decisions behind it.

Ok, we at nostr.build have been asked about it multiple times, and I decided to just do it. By the end of my day today we should have a working implementation of the MCP server for your agents. You could try to stamp delegation and revocation declarations on BTC, but I wasn't sure if there's an easy way to look them up by participating keys, so it seemed easier to use Ethereum. As for gas prices, I just looked up a series of transactions recording a 3-key delegation chain, and it came to about 518k gas in total.

Today I did a quick 5 block action at a new location in Cologne.
It’s very central with many passerby’s, guess a new favorite spot.
Two people wanted to call the cops on me.
Idk if they did, because I was gone before anyways.

I’m convinced that Bitcoin awareness and adoption would skyrocket, if the Bitcoin community would organize more like a decentralized direct action movement, than a finance bro circle jerk or a boomer regulars table.

During his recent mysterious visit to Moscow, CIA Director John Ratcliffe proposed a trilateral summit between President Trump, Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy during a covert meeting with SVR Foreign Intelligence Chief Sergey Naryshkin and FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, two sources briefed on the matter have told Axios.
Ratcliffe’s visit was partly aimed at determining whether Russia’s heads of intelligence services could help convince Putin to move toward resuming negotiations aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine War. During the meeting, Ratcliffe gave Bortnikov “a bleak assessment” of the state of the war and urged Russia to cut a deal with Ukraine and the United States.
On Friday, U.S. officials briefed Zelenskyy on Ratcliffe’s talks in Moscow and the proposal for a trilateral summit, an idea which he had previously supported, though has been continually rejected by Putin. Reports by local media in Ukraine has suggested that negotiations could resume in September.

We didn't need to beg for regulation. No one is promising compliance... Bitcoin didn't simp for anything. The traditional financial system includes it because it was always going to include it... That's what winning looks like. They can't beat us. They benefit by joining us. Nation states buying Bitcoin is not losing. It's winning.
Tell me how Bitcoin has compromised in any way...
