Damn I just thought of the coolest donation widget. It's a pot of coffee and a cup and you click and hold the pot and it starts pouring into the cup. Bitcoin price is fetched and compared with what a cup of coffee costs and as the cup fill the donation amount goes up until the cup gets full, then there so big animation that a cup is poured and you can start pouring another. Whenever you stop pouring the total amount you poured is added up and a lightning invoice is fetched for that amount. This representing buying actual cups of coffee at market price for the person you're donating to. ☕ ☕

With this release I'm happy to announce that wss://wheat.happytavern.co is now a PUBLIC RELAY.
! HOWEVER !
If you are not currently on the whitelist, wheat will be purge all non-whitelisted user events every 4 hours and only keep notes up to 2 days old.

- Now Event purging will still consider the whitelist even when the whitelist enabled is set to false, This enables users to purge events from unwhitelisted users with exclude whitelist set to true, retaining events from users in the whitelist but allowing anyone to write.
- Keep interval changed from days to hours
- purge interval changed from hours to minutes

Alright I think I finally fixed event purging for grain 🌾
I may disable the whitelist for wheat but I'll purge events on a 4 hour basis and remove events from unwhitelisted pubkeys of they are older than 2 days.
Stay tuned for that. New release first.

I think it's important to note that 50 bit is a far far far cry from 256bit. Classical computers can crack 50bit RSA. SHA256 is orders of magnitude more secure and I'm really still not sure it's possible to crack.

Templ would have been way easier to use to make a website with templating in go, but designing my own templating engine really leveled up my understanding of web design. It was hard man. And it's no where as good as templ and I may learn it now to make development faster but it's when you do hard things, that you learn the most.

I run nostr.happytavern.co which is a private nostr-rs implementation and I can't remember if I whitelisted you there but I certainly will.
I also run wheat.happytavern.co which is running my grain implementation. I'm pretty sure you are on its whitelist.

That's where you're wrong. People don't derive the value of their eggs by using paper with numbers on it. People derive the value of eggs by determining they want to eat them and what they can give in exchange for that want. Value is subjective. Value is not derived from fiat.

You can determine the value between them by measuring how much of each ot takes to buy a carton of eggs. You can price any good in any currency. Take what it would cost in any local currency and then price eit with Bitcoin. I know there's not many people pricing goods in BTC or ETH or Monero but it doesn't matter. Eggs can be priced in USD, EUR, ETH, and BTC. Volatility keeps merchants from pricing in currencies that are monetizing or demonitizing. You don't see eggs priced in Gold for instance. But you can take any merchants current price in whatever they use and determine what it would be in any other currency. Yes USD is the starting point for most merchants, but not always and there are hundreds or fiats you can compare. Again it doesn't matter what you start in. After you determine value of the eggs in one currency you can do it for all others. Then you can equally compare any currency. It doesn't have to involve the starting point to compare. You're valuing the eggs in dollars, not the dollars in eggs. Now you can value the eggs in BTC, ETH, XMR. Then you can equally compare XMR to BTC. USD not involved in the equation. Things are getting rapidly cheapers with Bitcoin. The denominator is the unit of account. Just change your denominator for any good to BTC from whatever you see it in at the present. Now look at the trend. It's going up forever.
