Comparing voluntarism and free trade to violent theft is an interesting take. Also presuming that anyone who doesn't want a gun to their head wouldn't volunteer to pay for things they want. As if people don't do this every day for all sorts of other things. It turns out that no one has to put a gun to my head to convince me to buy things I want. Incredible. Being robbed isn't the same as paying for something. Being enslaved isn't the same as being hired.

30 years ago the global population was aprox 5b. 10% of those people lived in extreme poverty, often struggling for food.
30 years on, the population is approx 8b, yet the % of people in absolute poverty today is 1%.
Thats 500,000,000 people down to 80,000,000 while the population has risen by over 50%.
I'd say we're doing incredibly bloody well and those who would destroy the systems which have achieved that are either wicked or ill informed.
As a species we've made huge strides forward because of smarter better systems, greater awareness and communication.
Dooming on rich people is not helpful.
