An entity has to be self-making & self-maintaining (in other words: it has to care about itself) and has to care about other entities too, that's why Vervaeke would argue that machines would have to be child-bearing in addition to autopoetic before they can achieve personhood in any meaningful way.
From that we quickly branch out into the things you listed, virtue being the most important one, as virtue points towards the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. They'll have to care about that too, and once they do, calling them "silicon sages" might be appropriate. Up until that point I'll stick with clankers, though.
