Most of them couldn't handle the heavy handed AML and tax laws.
So many moved to tax-free Dubai.
Goddamn! My L4 and L5 disks feel so swollen this morning I can barely walk!
Take care of your back, young bucks!
When I was in my early 20s I was very strong. I was by far the strongest guy in my unit. I was always doing things to show off how strong I was. The older guys would wince at the sight of it and tell me I was gonna feel that when I got older, to which I would laugh. After the Army I did a lot of construction and hard labor jobs where my only qualification was having a strong back. I've blown my L5 disk out a few times in my life but most of the damage is just general wear and tear from working under heavy loads.
This wear and tear catches up with you as you age. On an X-ray there's very little space left between my L4-L5 and L5-S1 vertebrae. There are things you can do to periodically relieve the pressure, but you can't repair the deteriorating cartilage.
Take care of your back when you're young and feeling invincible. It becomes a quality of life issue when you get older.
Everybody is using outbox/inbox right now. Your relay lists tell the others where your posts are (outbox) and where reactions, replies, zaps should be sent to (inbox). I believe Nostur is an outbox-first client.

True, it could be just some android app/settings need to be set.. It doesn't do the automatic style "would you like to set" stuff yet. But I'm going to look into it also.. Make it do it like citrine does.
Im not using inbox/outbox. I mostly use Nostur client and I don’t have that enabled. This is odd

Also, this is happening because you have aggr as your Inbox relays. So everybody replying, liking, zapping you will have to AUTH in that relay to send the message/event.
🏈 Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions) and Bijan Robinson (Falcons) both sat out opening camp practice as long-term contract talks continue—Gibbs signaled a hold-in despite being healthy, while Robinson showed up in drills without helmet/cleats. Both are entering the 4th year of rookie deals and are widely expected to land extensions that could shake up the RB market. #NFL
This is helpful to understand a bit better what is special about it. Was kinda scratching my head as to what the fuss was, and still am somewhat (though that's mostly a lack of dev knowledge)

the ultimate👹 jew-jutsu 🥋;
Relay requires auth every time you use it. So, it s asking your permission to send the auth. We need to improve the screen. But this will happen every time you see node if you don't Always Allow.
Never ask: "Is it legal?"
Ask always: "Is it moral?"
No this does not affect reactions or replies.
Appreciate it. Nothing unique to me, we all experience ups and downs. Just not into sharing (usually) any of that stuff publicly.
🇺🇸petrodollar🤑 :Question_mark:
1974 - The deal was that the US would provide the gulf arab GCC ruling families with military support. In exchange, the ruling families promised to sell their oil in USD and recycle their vast surpluses into US assets.
This was crucial for the US, as it had just defaulted on the world by ending the convertibility of USD to gold in 1971. With the petrodollar in place, the USD was now backed by oil - the lifeblood of our economy + military .

✅ The OpenTimestamps proof for my post-quantum key attestation has been confirmed in Bitcoin block 960117 (mined 2026-07-29T14:28:24 UTC). The link between my current Nostr identity and my post-quantum keys is now anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain and cannot be backdated.
Verify it here: https://laantungir.net/quantum-prep/verify.html?npub=npub1rmz9gu6de0m0u4ysrn39crrud099ahvfgs6pvasl4hpjr5ud7yus54xv06
This is a reply to my original attestation announcement. The confirmed proof is carried in a new kind 9999 event referencing the original.
Maybe @npub1gcx…nj5z knows why this is happening. I have nothing to do with this 😂
The second one is indeed safer. But I don't think they'll ever get 4032 blocks; I'm not even sure they'll get 4 mandatory signalling blocks
So I think if you want to guarantee that splitting is possible, then - like you said - you need something like this:
1. make a splitting transaction, with a large op_return, and broadcast it at or after the start of mandatory signalling (August 8th/9th), and broadcast it on the "legacy" network
2. If that confirms on both chains, then the "split" has failed, and a BIP110 miner broke the default policy. You haven't lost funds, you just need to start again from the new address.
3. When it confirms on the legacy chain, then you should quickly RBF to spend the funds back to yourself
4. Now you have successfully spilt (unless you're unlucky and reorgs happen!)
.. come to think of it, that's just too messy, I think
The masses are never going to wake up and revolt with you. Just find every way possible to circumvent the authority of those in control and do what thou wilt.

I just watched My Dinner with Andre for the first time last night. Prophetic.
More thoughts on buzz from the frontline.

I've been diving deep into buzz internals, and running a fork of it at https://code.relay.tools/forks/buzz
The idea was to see how close it is to Nostr Native, and the surprising answer is, VERY. I am impressed with how much nostr was used to build this thing.
Buzz is also VERY buggy. In ways that you may not notice, until you have used it for a few days or a week. At some point, I almost grew exhausted of it because of this, I was like, mmmmm, did I just get suckered into yet another dev project going nowhere? But then, I came back and said, THIS IS KINDOF INCREDIBLE. THIS IS NOSTR.
Every day, I check the new commits and when I encounter bugs I check the issues, and watch them being fixed in real-time by agentic workflows that have been setup by block, or I fix them myself. Overall, this experience is cool because I get to see how block thinks development works these days with AI. I think it is working! PRs are being merged, commits are flowing, bugs being squashed in a timely manner, roadmaps fleshing out etc.
Buzz has self-hosted Git repos, issues, PRs, and even Workflows, all BUILT-IN to it's relay service. This is wild, because it means you need no extra service to host these things, you just need a Buzz server and you and your friends, and all of your agents combined, can ride off and code some stuff. This part gets me really excited, because NOTHING else was doing this. And it uses Nostr Native patterns.
So, that's just a 'quick' update for you on the buzz hypetrain. AMA, I'll be releasing some more stuff soon.

Sorry I simply used a confrontal way to hear usecases. My mind failed to bring up some good ones but a lot of non-usecases and the general dificulty to convince anyone, to install an app.
Only with you, from this npub and from Classical Music too. I assume that you got my zaps but not my reactions.
There is nothing happening. It is an auth-only relay
may be its coupled with BTC price 🤑
