Gittr uses another backend btw, not ngit.
ngit is a git server + grasp relay. I separated both which let me not only pull in grasp related metadata right from the start for zaps, profilepage, WoT badge n all that jazz.
Important thing is whatever you use they all end up discoverable in all nostr clients :P

Theres a tool for your agent and also you can use the import flow from github/gitlab/gitea/codeberg in gittr.space/new instead of using a terminal.. they all end up on nostr so doesnt really mind where and how you do that..

If I want to use a separate key for this, is there a clean way to link it back to my main Nostr identity so people can tell it's me? Or do most people just use their main key through a bunker via NIP-46?

You're on the right path. Ngit is just a Nostr git app. Nostr relays all the commit data, issues, PRs, hashes etc. The data itself, the files, lives on GRASP servers. Think of it like Nostr and Blossom. Similar relationship.
You can just have your agent do it. Just tell your agent to use ngit and install it. And push to Nostr git using ngit. You'll have to figure out how you want to authenticate with ngit. I use NIP-46. With Amber.

Desktop operating systems seem to be going in two different directions for the self-sovereign individual.
On one team, we have Omarchy (@nprofile…vmk7 and even the great @nprofile…tf6v has hinted he uses it), with its easy personalisation and integrated AI harnesses.
On the other, we have Qubes OS (for the true privacy folks like @nprofile…8p0e, who has written articles on it).
These OSs seem at odds with each other with the classic convenience/privacy trade-off.
- Qubes would seem like the natural Nostriches choice; but,
- Omarchy presents SO much convenience for devs, but potential for making bad privacy mistakes (indeed I tried it and cursed myself for accidentally allowing Claude access to a private file on my laptop).
Anyone want to share thoughts on what OS is best for a laptop that is going to be used for dev work on sovereign projects? And if you use Omarchy, how you ensure privacy.
