i can't really agree since i'd be happy without them, and i suspect many users haven't even interacted with the GNU tools
i've done void/musl and gentoo with clang tooling, uutils over core, and more
i admire distros like alpine which stray away from GNU stuff,
and they've all been lovely, certainely not unrecognizable
and i've tried BSD varients for a similar purpose 🐡
when i reccomend linux, what i like about linux is really truly the kernel, the variety of devices and drivers it supports, as well as the speed and development that goes into optimizing it for desktop use (ex NTSYNC & wine)
definitely not the GNU tools or the kernel's license: i typically dislike copyleft licenses used in GNU projects (like the GPL-2.0-only on the linux kernel for example)
it's not like i hate GNU or anything, i just don't think that it has as much impact on people's computer usage than they'd like to proclaim
i'd be more open to calling it GNOME-KDE/linux or X11-wayland/linux since those projects have more impact on my daily use
personally, when i log on to my PC, i don't care if a background script is using `grep` or `ripgrep` if you know what i mean 😹
i'm a big fan of stallman though, i follow him on the mastodon side
what a champion of free software he is, although we disagree on a few things 😜💜
a long response, but i thought i should explain why i intentionally choose to say "linux" without the "GNU/"
much love 💜
P.S. my favourite GNU tool is cat for obvious reasons 😻🐈⬛
(screen too, before i swapped for tmux)
Working on something exciting tomorrow. 🥷

It still works? Thats surpising tbh
I'm trying. No luck. No interest in Bitcoin or Nostr.
More books and games will help.

Maybe yours is better actually :-)
Anyway, maybe we need a convention for an AGENTS_LOCAL.md file, which includes more 'personal' preferences of the developer, or other details ('Use podman instead of docker when executing on my machine'). For example, I prefer to do the 'git' operations myself, but other developers of the project might have a different policy

As some context to why I'm sharing this, here is the initial report it sent after working for 19 minutes on a big change. It's the generic "big update all complete, sir/madam":

But sometimes (not in this particular case), there are important surprises that don't surface including bad micro-decisions that I have to challenge later

After big code changes, ask your agent if there were any surprises while it was working. I always find it interesting; sometimes it raises important details that it otherwise wouldn't have told me about
Ask it what changed and what didn't. If you think that a particular task is a conventional refactor of a particular module and it shouldn't affect any tests or any other modules, it's good to verify this afterwards

So how do I pass a d-tag identifier with the deploy method to create a named nsite? I only see some documentation for the delete method using the -d argument.

I wouldn't like to tell you who's 7 days off the beer... And counting. Come on ya dancer!
I know smart people are working on this, and I'm curious what the end state might be
OpenTimestamps might be needed, but even that's incomplete; it can't give real time certainty, due to the fact that we get bitcoin blocks only every ten minutes
My guess is that we'll need "fork-aware" Marmot clients which tell the user about forks and ask the user to choose which to follow
Yes, I had a terrible time trying to get ETH for testing. I actually don't have any especially good way of getting BTC either. Other people seem to have better channels for acquiring cryptocurrency. When they talk about it, I always sort of wonder where they are getting it from.
It's on by default so everybody use it but we will turn it off because nobody use it anyway.
