I don't understand, dropping Amber is a potentially good new approach? Adding other sign-in methods makes sense but dropping Amber will alienate customers and I don't know for what reason. What's bad about Amber?
The ones around me are deeply suspicious of Bitcoin and think it's terrible for the environment. I've pivoted to other ways of demonstrating utility that they like, the time bank or repair clinics. I'm hoping folks start to trust me and then I can reopen the Bitcoin conversation later. But yeah it's rough out here 😅

Not sure nostr will ever escape bitcointwitter aesthetics and trappings in general. It needs to to survive. Whether it does or not is unknown. It will be a good sign if thsi happens. You can tell what nostr is when there is a significant change in bitcoin price. It very quickly reverts to bitcointwitter 2.0.
Very few / almost no devs are engaging with the actually problem of nostr, partly because it's a cultural and very difficult problem to solve. You can't code your way out of this unfortunately 🥲
