You mentioned impact of the player in the team, and that's so true.
I think of Sidney Crosby. Does he have the most championships in hockey no, but few players impact their team as much as he does.
He makes everyone around him better.

I will admit I'm not the biggest NBA fan, and some personal bias against how the league is nowadays. Mainly the god damn traveling. Especially as a guy who played alot of both organized and non organized(streetball) basketball growing up.

everyone can build a relays with their own read an write policies and create an app around that policy. the best part is the openness of the data you can read not the openness to write to anyone one else's relay.
if you want free restrains in writing data you have to use your own relay and maybe even your own app

I have a bias against an all consuming application. Deployment targets just aren't ready for this IMO. Mini apps just aren't going to get used. Desktop first and commercial grade this could change, but corporations are also adverse to all-consuming applications with scattered dependencies too. Lock in becomes too expensive no matter how "open" the ecosystem is.
Sometimes I forget that not everyone shares my time 😆
