Projects I am currently involved in:
#cordn
This is MLs for Nostr that is actually starting to actually work. Ecosystem is growing and refining. High-security messaging for groups, including groups of 2 (i.e. DMs).
#imwald
My web app and my Android app. They read and write any event and are great for power users and testers, or if you are just looking for someplace to publish an event from and nothing else works. Integrated with Brainstorm and Mercury servers.
#alexandria
These publication viewers are looking a bit neglected, but a big revamp is underway. A sort of Project Gutenberg, OpenLibrary, Wikipedia, and Goodreads mashup. Mercury and Brainstorm integration.
#decentnewsroom
Very elegant solution for e-magazines, including my own blog.

#brainstorm
Our big data migration has been honored with indexing on Brainstorm! 🤩
Very stoked about that and about the other relays that imported our data dump.
#mercury
Mercury is my instance of the Elixir relay that MichaelJ is building. We're iterating back and forth, but the publications, wiki pages, and library cards are already running off my prototype version. That's the http API my clients use.

I'm not really plugged into the kind 1/1111 debate, but I prefer to see events rather than miss them, so I made some changes to the Inkan client to make it render 1111 alongside kind 1 wherever there seemed to be some kind of gap. Now after these changes I'm actually not seeing any additional events because I guess I'm not encountering a lot of 1111s in the wild, I actually had to make up my own test events. Maybe I didn't do it correctly and am still missing kind 1111s, or maybe I'm just not part of that ecosystem.

What frustrates me most about Nostr is how much some **developers just don't care about what kinds content creators actually publish**.
Our stuff drops off the timelines, and people's threads and feeds get thinner and thinner, but the devs don't respond by including the new kinds because they're only here to kind-1-shout-out at their fan club once per day or week or month, and then they go back to talking to their agents and collecting their monies.
Those devs aren't scrolling the feed or responding in threads, my frens. They don't notice that our stuff disappears and -- what is more -- they don't give a damn.
I’d love to see the original wow but with new combat animations and just more violence all around. Give me blood splatter and bone shattering… ya know
Haha ya… it’s over boys

Yeah it’ll never be the same :(
😂 yeah… as I recall it all went downhill after WoTLK.
You literally determine the future outcomes for your child (ignoring IQ, Zip Codes, and all that other stuff).
Parental involvement in education is one of the biggest main non-determined/predisposition variables.
Parents being involved is one of the biggest thing they can do to attempt to improve their children’s well being.

It was either a @npub1mmp…nmjn or @npub1kg9…nvj4 post that convinced me to make an account then it was Brad Brinkley that asked me about it after I got banned on X that motivated me to use it.
Then some of the people around here followed, and engaged with me, and kept the spark going until I built my own natural momentum.
gm!!!
brutal honestly: X is way much more fun than ever before.
All you need to do is do nothing, no engagement at all, no like, no follow, no retweet, no reply, just scroll, and block any user directly as long as don't feel like right, don't click "not interested" or "mute", block directly!
then the algo will try his best ass effort to guess what'll you're really into, and push you quite high signal ratio contents!
He has a point 🤨

Why is all the mean from Australia or NZ 😑
But interesting… thnx
Japan has nuclear and high end tech capabilities and plenty of smart engineers.
Russia is full of natural resources and rolling in oil money. Both have plenty of capabilities to pull this off and enter the race.
Why are US and China the only AI contenders? Where the hell is Russia and Japan? Both have plenty of smart people and plenty of money - one from natural resources and other just prints it 😂
But seriously… why only 2 countries making this push??????

So you actually base your oppinion on somebody saying this and that on a podcast?
I hope you realize how rediculous this sounds?
A podcast is by no means any sirious source, where one can get good feedback if this stuff has any backing in facts or is merely some gut feeling by someone. It is not a platform of scientific discussion neighter.
No sirious scientist publishes their big breakthrough (what a rewrite of such a narrative would be) in a podcast. When this is backed by anything, there is a poper for it and then there ic critique for this paper.
Before studying the paper or at leaxt the critique, I really do not understand, why you blindly trust some dude that gets invited into a podcast.
You really just seem to have a very random share of trust. To some sources you trust simply by the fact that somebody interviewed them and others you do not trust, even when there is papers backing a position.
I think at this point it is hard to give you any credibility at all. Some critical thinking basics you have to understand in order to be of any help in a scientific discussion.

Wow autocomplete totally losing it today
Seems like the design of Amethyst. Beautiful and with a lot of options. But please take this as no offense. I think Nostr needs this super app, where one can explore all the features of nostr.
Other apps should then focus to be more minimal.
Scored some green tobacco sauce today! Kinda hard to find here!
