It is easy to look at the world and see doom and gloom. Dear Christian, let me remind you that God has never once been short on men with backbones. When Rome held the entire machinery of Christendom and the fire was already laid, there was a German monk who said his conscience was captive to the Word of God and he could not and would not recant. There is a line that gets put in Knox’s mouth, and it holds up. One man with God is always in the majority. Knox proved it standing in front of a queen. The Covenanters proved it out on the moors with a price on their heads and the dragoons at their backs.
It all looks lost because you are staring at the church instead of the throne. Look up. Christ is not pacing the throne room wondering how any of this turns out. He is seated. The work that saves you is finished and the work that conquers history is His and not yours, and it cannot fail for the simple reason that He cannot fail. Every last enemy already has a date to become a footstool under His feet. The only thing still undecided is whether you spend your one life watching the victory or laboring inside it.
I would rather be caught with my hand on the plow when He comes.

Today I am back with a new photo session that I did in my new photography studio for a birthday girl who hired my services to have a beautiful memory of her birthday.
We started by taking a couple of full body photos as a "warm-up" but still we liked the photos very much because the girl looked very pretty!

I noticed that the girl was very comfortable in front of the camera so I asked her if she was a model and she said no but that she had a little experience since she had already done photo sessions for her birthday in previous years.
And yes, it really is a very common tradition in Venezuela to do this, perhaps it is because it is not very common for people to have professional cameras so it is a service that attracts people's attention a lot.

They were birthday photos so obviously we had to include the cake, at this point we started to take the photos with the cake!

For the following photos I wanted to use the circular light modifier since that light always looks very good in birthday photos and the girl ended up loving the result.

I took all the photos with my Canon R8 camera, a 50mm lens at 4/f and two light points.
At the end of the photo session both the girl and I were super happy with the results and I hope you like them as much as we do!!
