I'm not a fan of an Australian CDC because it means if the people in control of it want to promote bullshit or downplay something serious there's no further options.
Compare that with the first couple of years of covid where the LNP wanted to ignore and downplay covid but the ALP state govts pushed back to save lives.
The ALP won the next election on a landslide partly because of that good will - people like being safe and seeing politicians fight for them. Then as soon as they won the Federal and State govts were all lockstep (more or less) into ignoring and down-playing covid again. No fighting for people, just ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist in a pathetic flip flop.
Presumably because once they were in power their monied lobbyists who had previously been working with the LNP were now working on them.
And to stop such life saving measures that threaten numbers rising on a spreadsheet rapidly for a few weeks, on a state by state basis is far more expensive than creating a single body with a small number of leading figures who can be bought and sold.

Tested completely negative today. Across three brands of tests, nose and throat.
Therefore I conclude I am actually as clear as I can determine. Now I wait to see how damaged the virus has made me in the longer term.
Does anyone know what pathology tests could help determine the damage done?
I seem to recall someone linked to a cluster of blood tests that would be informative. Of course, I'd never get my doctors to agree to random blood tests anyway, but I'd try.
I still feel a bit dizzy if moving too fast, and still tired and achey with a sniffle. But vastly better than last week.

I wonder what value he puts on his own child. Would he gladly infect them with a preventable disease that causes disability and death just so someone he doesn't know in a completely different suburb could have brunch at a cafe to prop up real estate values for the wealthy?
