@nprofile…vs9y Yeah! Apparently it was such huge news that one of our national news sites had a live stream of the sunrise 😂
I, too, love those huge windows! I love how much natural light pours in when it’s not winter.
And that soup is one of the best ones our recipe system has. It contains sweet potato, regular potato and carrots, coconut cream, vegetable stock and tarragon. It’s really good and perfect for a cold day 😊

It was surprisingly sunny today. I got to enjoy it indoors while I worked.
Well, worked… it was really quiet. The sudden uptick to my lunch havers was only, because the other place across the yard closed at 11:45. So people had to eat something, even my sweet potato puree soup was deemed good enough 😂

@nprofile…vs9y I sometimes tackle this problem by writing the little bit of an idea I might have bouncing around in my head into a short story. And then another one and another one. They might not fit together as is, but could absolutely be part of one larger coherent story.
I have lots of writings I’ve started, maybe rewritten entirely a few times but not yet finished by any means. But one day, I’m sure I’ll be able to finally figure out how all those stories end.

@nprofile…xcsy I always knew that I am on the spectrum, but never had a diagnosis as my autism isn’t as, let’s say visible as it is in my brother’s case. Being on here has given me some insight to what sorts of things can be because of this or due to this that never occurred to me before. It’s good to know that it isn’t just me being weird about language!

@nprofile…xcsy This and the fact that some people without an internal dialogue, as far as I understand how it was explained to me, see their thoughts in front of them. Like numbers and colors, and that is fascinating and weird to me.
I ”talk” to myself inside my head and when I imagine or daydream, I can ”see” the scene I’m imagining inside my head. But I can’t produce any of those things into my real vision.

Today is spaghetti and meatballs sort of day. So I made my own pasta sauce out of tomato, oat based cream, my own mixture of herbs, onion and chicken meatballs. It's not done yet and already tastes so fricking good!

@nprofile…xcsy I didn’t fit in uni, either, which was weird because I studied my profession in a vocational college as an adult and instantly clicked with a certain group of people, which made studying then a breeze. But a few years later at uni I made zero connections, so I ended up doing most projects by myself. Which was fine. Especially since the latter half of my uni studies took place on and after 2020.
There were two assignments that I still think about and hold on to, because they have potential to be turned into actual selling products/activities for a hospitality business. When I came up with them in the first place, I figured everyone’s thought of them, too, but I went with them anyway. I got my best grades on them in the end and was praised by the lecturers on my work. That was great.

@nprofile…dvk7 (2/2) If you find any Old El Paso products, they have some decent gluten free wraps. I would also recommend experimenting with different kinds of flours that don’t contain wheat.
I live in Finland, and here we have a pretty wide variety of gluten free products. Pasta in particular. I was going to suggest experimenting with gluten free flour to make your own pasta, but currently my recipes aten’t vegan (they contain eggs).

@npub16mz…hm5n When I was in high school, I took a creative writing course (I had been writing for quite some time before that, though), and we had this book with exercises and prompts. By the end of the course we had to compile what we thought were our best writings of those prompts and weave them into one entire story. That was an interesting exercise as a whole, how to make different little bits work as an entire story.
The prompt writing stuck with me. Photos and single sentences are a great start.

I’m still not feeling 100% so I think today is dedicated to Midsomer Murders and The Outer Worlds. I moved my Xbox to the living room again so I can enjoy it on the big screen and not wreck my back sitting on the bed.
The cats should be happy I’m not going anywhere for the next few days, they were all over me, fighting for lap time, when I finally got home!
