@nprofile…ascr @nprofile…md3f I haven’t really revisited it and it was only my second show so I wouldn’t have known if it was good or bad. Just looked and it was 4/3/86. Kind of blends with the show I saw there in 88. I remember 90 being really good. 86 and 88 I remember always thinking they were rough but just watched a clip of 88 and it’s actually decent. Time does weird things.

@nprofile…vtlw That’s awesome. Used to love digging at Sandy but it got tougher and tougher. People would know right when the day bins were going out and they’d clean ‘em out pretty fast (and go re sell in their own bin at crossroads lol). My friend was a manager at Sandy and the employees would scoop a lot of the hot stuff too before it went out. But still got some great scores there over the years. Miss it.

@nprofile…vtlw That cover is not great, lol, but doesn’t affect the sound so whatever. I have a lot of old Blue Notes but only a few without the “Inc” and the copyright. And most of them are VG at very best. This one is so glossy. One of the best days ever, walked into Vinyl Resting Place in SJ years ago and someone had just unloaded a collection of unreal first press BNs. They were all $40, I bought as many as I could! Went back the next day and the rest were gone.

@nprofile…vtlw That’s the worst. I heard the tape of the moment when WPLJ (legendary NYC rock station) switched to a Christian station. It was so odd, they just flip the switch. It hadn’t been a rock station for years and years but was still a dagger when it went down forever.

@nprofile…37w7 @nprofile…k0f6 My wife got an appointment at CVS in PDX yesterday. She checked the high risk box (2x cancer survivor) and she showed up and they cancelled it. They were super apologetic and told her they hoped/expected it would be reversed in the next week but for now they were unable to administer any at all.

@nprofile…07k8 @nprofile…nxjs Solid stack! Mine are kind of a mix or older and newer pressings but would prefer the older monos. The re-issues sound mostly good though. Pet Sounds is the only one I have multiple copies of and my old ones are chewed. My Wild Honey is the only OG I have that is clean but it’s stereo.
