Some more of the bluebell wood. It's a very special place. It's somewhere you can't 'just' walk through. Instead, it requires slow, gentle steps, with reverence and awe at the beauty in sight and smell. It's a place known to local people throughout the generations. Each one being brought here by their parents or grandparents. You can almost feel the memories here. You can't help but leave feeling changed by the experience.

I've also had "Exploding head syndrome" a few times. It's when you're fully asleep but get woken up suddenly with the sound of the room exploding like a bomb just dropped. Scary but I'm sort of used to it on the rare occasion it happens.

I get that quite often. It's very odd. Mine is usually scrolling text but the characters are strange and unreadable although I feel they should be. Trying to read them causes the direction of scrolling to change so it's like chasing the text with my focus.

I would LOVE to see the #GreenParty grow to become the UK opposition or even in government one day. My instant thought though is "but that'll never happen". It's thinking like that that will prevent this possibility. I really hope the country is fed up enough with voting for the same people and getting worse results every time. I really hope the Greens can make a huge breakthrough. They won't be perfect. No party is. But they offer a picture of a much brighter future.

Everyone knows this. It's been obvious since the dawn of time that it's cooler underneath trees. It hardly takes "professors", "scientists" or "experts" and yet people are still chopping down trees and covering more of the earth with concrete. More and more green land is becoming housing estates because it's 'cheaper' than developing brownfield sites. It's just not sustainable. #ClimateChange

The tree is re-coppiced every 20 years to boost its health and vigor. We remember when it was done in 2012 and it was a devastating sight to see. It's hard to believe that everything you see now has regrown just over the last 13 years.

This Lime tree is estimated to be 2,000 years old and this is what it looks like inside. The tree has grown outward over time to form a ring of connected clumps. There's something very special indeed about standing at it's centre and being surrounded by something so ancient. #trees #AncientTrees

When mentioning someone with a long @ name, suggestions appear as I type but they're never the person I want, then as I type even more characters the suggestions stop. I have to type the full name in before the account actually appears. How about some sort of Favourite Contacts list so one could just choose from a short list? Thanks. 😊

I've been catching up on all the overnight posts from America. What a mess. It's a completely different way of thinking for roughly half of them over there.

I've been looking forward to this #StandingStoneSunday after our visit to the amazing Boscawen-Un circle. Consisting of 19 standing stones plus its distinctive leaning central stone. There are also some others led down (to the left of the photo) that look like they might once have been a small burial chamber, or maybe marked the entrance.

Hands up if you ever got to play with an 8" floppy.
My school had RM Nimbus machines with 5¼" drives. Going to college where they had 3½" was like going to the future. 😊
There doesn't seem to be much happening in the world of storage at the moment. Anyone aware of anything new and groundbreaking? Whatever happened to holographic storage onto little transparent cubes?

Hi Lucas. Yes I believe so. Just to clarify, these are posts from an account I follow and have the notifications enabled on. The posts that should be filtered out are still visible on the notifications page if the filter is set to 'Hide with warning'.

Hiya. Thank you for checking. I think I've worked out it's an issue with the @npub1rx6…pdar app. It seems to ignore the filter if the filter is set to 'Hide with a warning' but it does honour the filter if it's set to 'Hide completely'.

Thank the gods we live a million miles away from the lesser orange one. I know everything they do over there has an impact on the rest of the world but I am very glad there's a lot of water between us. #AmericaIsLost. I really hope the UK government grows a spine (unlikely I know) and distances itself from the madness. About to take my car to the garage. I have to get back home on the 'public transport', you know, that mode of transportation the commoners used to use. I've had all the vaccinations I'm allowed and I've brushed up on how to converse with lower classes. I think a ticket costs about £100 for 4 miles. If you don't hear from me again, it's been fun. I'm finding it a bit sad to see so many people on my timeline encouraging others to follow them on Blue Sky. Feels like a Mastodon exodus for no fault of it's own. Blue Sky just seems to have the 'big brand name' appeal, backed by a billionaire. Reminds me of how some people will buy literally anything with an Apple logo on it, even if it's shit.
