like most things, I guess it depends on your definition of "fascism," but I don't see it. For one thing, there doesn't appear to be capitalist financiers the government is beholden to. Nor the overt militarism.
David Graeber likened the Federation to the Soviet Union, in the sense of the government apparatus being very bureaucratic; you almost never, save a few glimmers in DS9 and DISCO, show politicians meddling in the hierarchy of starfleet.

I bought my Lamy Safari EF two years ago on Victoria Day as a stress/retail therapy purchase.
After hearing how much hate these pens get, or at least how divisive they are, among the community, I was astounded at how beautifully it writes. It is not my most aesthetically pleasing pen but it is possibly the best writer I own. #fountainpens

I don't post about #fountainpens on here much because, well, I haven't been writing much. My carpal tunnel has been kicking my ass and my hands keep going numb. I finally decided to splurge on a spiffy looking Majohn A1, on the advice of a friend who suggested it was a better place to start than a VP. I've never owned a clickey FP before.

So this is the sort of thing I used to use Facebook for but here goes nothing...
Anyone in #Ottawa #Nepean have recommendations on a #Radon tester? A friend from church sent me a CBC article about developments in detecting levels in the human body and I'm genuinely spooked. Particularly as I have a home office in my basement.
