Got it. Yes, empiricism is limited as it's epistemology only includes the physical realm. Then when it comes to our psychology, a pure empirical explanation can only go so far. There is a "ghost" in the machine. ;)
A proper epistemology will included the empirical realm and the phenomenological realm. This is especially important in the understanding of human relatedness.

I like your thoughts on this. You rock.
I too see Freud's ideas on sexuality and pathology as quite important in understanding the psychology of another and my self.
Also, how we relate in intimate relationships to others will be framed by our early experiences in childhood. Anna Freud did great work in pioneering child psychoanalysis. I see her frame being limited too as she was devoted to her father's topographical model of the unconscious. Melanie Klein created a greater model of the baby core and the relation to mother. It began the system of Object Relations psychoanalysis. This model, I think captures more dynamics of human relatedness. It is the model in which I did my post-doctoral studies.
Robert Caper's book: "Immaterial Facts" does a good job of highlighting Freud's progression and does a bit to tie in Klein's ideas.

If using bitcoind, then yes, it might be going into automatic `--reindex-chainstate` Depending on your internet connection and drive type it could take between 3 days to a month to `--reindex-chainstate` Once bitcoind is finished, then your lightning node will connect.

Good question on the NixOS drama. I have not seen any of those issues impacting the releasing of software updates or any major news that immediate drastic changes are happening with the release schedules. It seems, at least on the software side, the git repos are business as usual. Also, I have not been following it too closely, as have to keep focused on the software needed for Sovran_SystemsOS.

Oh, I will have to look into this. At the same time, what a dance we have to do to make IPv4 work. IPv6 is so simple, once one understands it, no need for any load balancer or complicated software systems. Some simple settings in OpenWRT and boom as many IPv6's as you need for each server on your home network.

Facts:
The reason why IPv6 has not taken off is because router manufactures and ISPs do NOT enable IPv6 by default when they ship their routers, which most end users do not know anything about IPv4 or IPv6 let alone how to turn it on in their router software. This keeps the revenue streams for ISPs as they can charge more for static IPs in the IPv4 systems. This is a shame because with IPv6, the end user can create as many external IPs as they wish.
If a server is completely converted to IPv6, the content they serve over IPv6 will not be seen by IPv4 systems, which is most all internet systems.
In summary, our internet is not expanding because of the centralized monopoly of ISPs protecting their money flows.

Also, I have never tried using the Tor browser as proxy. I use the official Linux package of the Tor Proxy software. It runs as a systemd unit on my laptop.

I don't know your exact setup. When Sparrow and Tor do not play well with each other, I nuke the 'tor" folder in the ".sparrow" folder. I do this by renaming it "tor.bak" and then reopening Sparrow again.
Then Sparrow can connect to tor again.
I use Sovran_SystemsOS_Light which is my variation of NixOS.
