I'm enjoying Olas so far, but I'm a bit confused about the discussion around generic vs high quality post option. I understand how it works i.e. high quality is a kind:20 note, they show up in different places/on different clients etc.
But some people are suggesting that we should be using the high quality/kind:20 option on Olas. Is it just for the image quality? Or is there some benefit to the bootstrapping of Olas by only posting high quality/kind:20?
When I post images from Olas with the generic option, they seem to get more engagement, which makes sense because they will be posted to Primal and the main feed of Amethyst etc, and therefore are more visible.

Yep, super important factor to think about for romantic relationships. E.g. in a new relationship, trying to figure out "are these feelings *just* limerance, or something deeper?" can be really informative around long term compatability.

Thanks for the input on the regional spelling stuff. It's not something I'd really thought about before. I'm not personally put off by US English, even though it's not what I use personally.
I think we say "4,000+" and "almost 5,000" which isn't contradictory, but we should tidy that up, and it's a good prompt to do a check for consistency; I appreciate the pickup. This is our number of newsletter subscribers, not customers.
Asking questions is just one of the ways I learn the things I need to. I put the question out here because my Nostr connections are in a broad range of locations (not the only place I asked the question though).

Question for the Nostr brains trust:
With my new business (impactsociety.co) our first products are digital downloads (tools and templates for managers in PDF format etc). Most of our sales have been in the US (we're based in Australia).
We recently had feedback from a US customer that they found the AUS/UK spelling in our content a bit off-putting (e.g. organisation vs orginization).
This guy comes across as intelligent, thoughtful and overall complimentary of our work. So I was a bit surprised at the feedback. Personally I don't have any issues with US English spelling when I come across it.
Is this a thing that companies outside the US have to think about? It wouldn't be that hard to create regionalised versions of our content and website etc. But equally I'd prefer not to waste time on it if it's an isolated issue.

My dad died last year.
I won't pretend to know how it's been for you, because losing someone close is different for everyone.
But perhaps I can relate a bit.
A friend wrote these simple words to me at the time: "So sad for everyone as they come to understand just what has happened."
I think about those words often. They efficiently capture something profound about losing my dad —something I didn’t (couldn't?) comprehend until it happened to me.
Losing a parent can be a seismic event. But one which takes time to fully comprehend.
Be gentle on yourself, it takes time.

I've finished season 2 now. It's definitely better than S1. I believe for S1 they only had the rights to the Appendices of the LOTR books, but for S2 they had rights to use the Silmarillion as well for source material. I think that has helped a lot.
Overall I liked it much better than S1, and the season finale had some good moments of payoff that they had built up through the earlier episodes.
I still feel a bit meh about it. I should be their target audience, I'm primed to like it and get invested in it. But it's just OK. Particularly the dialogue doesn't feel very well written.
If there's a S3 I'll probably watch it, because S2 was a big enough improvement from S1 that I'm willing to give it a go.

- swapped onchain sats to ln, using Boltz
- sent the ln funds to Zeus wallet to set up non-custodial lightning

Yo, I've experienced this with illness that took a long time to shake off. Here's what helped for me:
- sunlight
- gentle exercise
- breathwork
I couldn't work out properly, so just went for walks to get some fresh air and sunlight, and did a bit of yoga.
Breathwork (e.g. Wim Hof) was good, but I took it easy. As I started improving, I threw in a bit of cold exposure.
Once you start improving, don't make the same mistake I did of pushing yourself too hard, too early. After a long illness you need to build back slowly and continue to prioritise rest and recovery.
