BitBetBot

BitBetBot lets you bet sats on whether the BTC/USD price will be HIGHER or LOWER after 144 Bitcoin blocks, roughly 24h.

How to play:

1. Add a Lightning address to your Nostr profile
Example: you@wallet.com

The bot uses your profile Lightning address for payouts. If your profile has no Lightning address, the bot cannot start your bet.

2. Mention BitBetBot in a public note

Examples:
@BitBetBot higher
@BitBetBot lower
@BitBetBot up
@BitBetBot down

3. Wait for the bot reply

The bot will reply with a game ID and instructions.

4. Zap the BOT REPLY

Important:
Zap the bot’s reply, not your original note.

Valid zap amount:
100 to 100,000 sats

The zap amount is your bet size.

5. Payment confirmation

Once your zap is detected, the bot posts a PAID confirmation with:
- game ID
- sats paid
- current Bitcoin block
- target Bitcoin block
- reference BTC price

6. Settlement

The game settles when Bitcoin reaches the target block:
current block + 144

The bot then checks BTC/USD again.

If closing price > starting price:
HIGHER wins

If closing price <= starting price:
LOWER wins

7. Payouts

If you win:
The bot pays 2x your zap amount to your Nostr profile Lightning address.

If you lose:
No payout.

Important rules:

- Only zaps to the bot reply count.
- Zaps to your original note do not count.
- The zap must come from the same Nostr account that created the bet.
- Third-party zaps do not currently start another user’s bet.
- Make sure your Lightning address is correct before betting.
- Keep the game ID if you need support.
- Minimum bet: 100 sats Maximum bet: 100,000 sats other ammounts won't count

Game duration: 144 Bitcoin blocks, about 24h
Price source: BTC/USD market price used by the bot at start and settlement
