"biochar" - check it out. Can make it in a pit very easily, or using a bit of tech, can capture/burn the flammable gasses, and put them to productive use as well, this is "gasification". I make biochar in my wood burning stove as a by-product of heating the house.

Last night I was logically integrated with my node. Exchanging information and experiencing the transactions included in the block as it came in. It was perfect math, computationally exact. I understood the sources and signatures, and was a part of bringing the state of the network to current.

I got my Pine64 btc/lnd node up and running. Here's the shopping list if you want to DIY: RockPro64, 32GB eMMC module, USB adapter for eMMC, Aluminum Casing, 5A Power supply, 2TB USB HD (or SSD). Mynode and others have builds specifically for Pine boards. MHU if you have questions.

I'm not an expert, but it depends on how involved you want to be. I started with an old PC I had laying around. Installed linux, and built bitcoin and lnd from scratch. This was really educational to see how things work. Then I grabbed mynode and installed it on a raspberry PI to get the no hassle experience. There's also umbrel which I think can run a nostr relay now., if you want a single solution.

Hope. I've been seeing it a lot lately, connected to bitcoin. While I can understand using this word in the old "a feeling of trust" definition. The more modern meaning behind the word is wanting something outside of your control to happen.
In this way, hope is actually preventing individuals from taking action in things they actually can control. In the context of bitcoin, I don't think this "hope" analogy fits. Buying bitcoin is taking action, not hoping that someone will take action for you.
