The global, decentralised bitcoin network doesn’t “fight” for energy. It CANT use competitive electricity.
There is no incentive to pay 100k to mine 70k bitcoin.
It seeks out (game theorically) the cheapest discarded energy all over the planet. This will continue to happen. No one is DOING it.
It hasn’t even scratched the surface yet.

This is all happening organically, from my perspective. There is nothing “different” for Bitcoin “to do”. It doesn’t need to convince anyone of anything. It just IS.
As AI spikes energy costs, globally, hash moves further to the fringe. (As you pointed out)
AIs insatiable demand for energy 24/7 is not competing for bitcoins energy. It’s is CREATING more and more decentralised, stranded hash.
Mindblowing. 🤯
And yes, this means that large centralised mining operations (think ERCOT in Texas) are already dinosaurs. 🦖

My wife and I came to the medicine work in our 50s. Has been transformational to say the very least. For us individually. And as a couple. Also for our adult children.

The EO 6102 one….
Its potential is massively over-hyped IMO. At least in the near and intermediate term.
And even if such a catastrophic rug pull were to happen, it doesn’t matter to the integrity of the protocol, which is ALL that really matters in the end, from my perspective.
A 6102 type confiscation in today’s world where just about every asset is held digitally means that ALL financial assets (stocks, bonds, CDs, etc) could be confiscated in the same manor. In an instant. Such an action would end the modern GLOBAL monetary system in a day/week. Defeating the purpose of such action in the first place. (Presumably, the continuity of the existing FIAT system and its self appointed Overlords masters)
Full disclosure, I generate my own keys and self custody my hodlings to the best of my knowledge and ability (as well as advise and teach others to do the same)

Like I was saying, this is legally (and functionally) impossible.
Legally, because it violates the contract law that the US (and others) depend on to run their international bond markets. Full stop.
Functionally, because the second they tried such an obviously “banana republic” move, there would be a complete collapse in the price of the entire medium to long end of the yield curve. As in “Game Over”. Requiring the FED to print 100s of trillions to mop up the blood bath of the collapsed tsy market and likely all bond markets dependent on the tsy market for reference like mortgages and corporates.
Much more likely, as external buyers for longer US govt paper continues to dry up while yields drift higher, the Fed will be forced to re-initiate some form of QE (infinity) to pick up the slack and keep rates under control.
I (and others like Larry Lepard/Preston Pysh) expect this to be coming very very soon. Possibly even before the e end of this calendar year.
Very very bullish for Bitcoin and Gold.

I didn’t see what JG specifically said, but what you outlined here does not sound coherent (or feasible) to anyone (like me) that spent decades working in the US bond markets.
If the FED introduced a form of YCC (yield curve control) that forced the entire curve to be flat at 2 percent, the only way to achieve this would be to print the 10s of trillions necessary to, effectively, buy up all/most of the available supply. Past AND future.
This would be very very BAD for the US dollar (read: hyperinflation territory) and very very GOOD for ANY hard asset. Especially Bitcoin and Gold.
There is exactly ZERO chance anything like this will be attempted NEAR term. However, some (creeping) version of this will become absolutely inevitable LONG term.
