I've seen the poll results and read many of the comments on Xitter. They somehow trust that >50% of people will choose blue. So they get to live and to virtue signal. It's been eye opening; I didn't know those people were so rotten and morally corrupt.
No wonder that western midwits hate bitcoin so viscerally. It proves collective good can be created out of individuals behaving in their self interest and without "leaders" nor institutions coordinating them.

It's a trap.
> A law that the largest companies in the world already comply with, and that hundreds of small projects cannot comply with, is not a child safety law. It is a compliance moat. It raises the regulatory cost of providing an operating system just enough that only well-resourced corporations can afford to do it.
>
> The enforcement mechanism is the point. AB 1043 does not need to result in a single fine to achieve its purpose. The mere existence of potential liability — $7,500 per affected child, enforced at the sole discretion of the Attorney General — creates legal risk for anyone distributing an operating system without the resources to build an age verification infrastructure. Most of these projects will respond by adding a disclaimer that their software is "not intended for use in California." Some will simply stop distributing.
>
> The law does not need to be enforced to work. It works by existing. It works by making small developers afraid. It works because the cost of defending against even a frivolous AG action exceeds the entire annual budget of most open-source projects. You do not need to swing a cudgel to get compliance. You just need to hold it where people can see it.

But why do you accept fiat trash paper for your goods and services?
If you think you can become free while using the fiat systems and payment networks, you obviously still have no idea what you are doing nor what bitcoin is about.
Hope you enjoy your permanent capital while living in the gulag, or maybe in afterlife.

2026-02-14 17:44:15 UTC

These people have zero fiat. You are suggesting to exchange bitcoin for fiat instead of spending it directly.
Merchants accept fiat because they have to survive. For exactly the same reason you don't have the balls to tell your boss or customers to pay you in bitcoin or otherwise you stop working for them. If they were paying you in bitcoin already you wouldn't have the problem of having to get rid of the fiat trash paper.

2026-02-13 22:02:07 UTC

- reply

Sorry, but that's nonsense. You don't use it because you still have too much fiat. As long as you keep using their currencies and their networks you will be a slave. Every time that I see "bitcoiners" paying with their credit cards at places that already accept bitcoin I know they still haven't fully waken up.
Your capital will be useless if you are living in an open air prison. Tell me, what's the use of Bitcoin in North Korea? You still have too much faith in the State.

Bingo.
The worst of people who think like you is that you *already know* the root cause yet you double down. Be a good dad instead. Nobody should get to do atrocities to their own children and then hide being the "defend the family" mantra. Come to terms with what was done to you instead of projecting it onto others.
The root cause has nothing to do with the "illegals". You cannot build a sound community or nation upon rotten families.
Be a good father and you won't have to worry about "rogue" children.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I think that's like asking to give a precise definition of sea water. It's difficult, but virtually everyone can tell apart sea water from fresh water in a blind tasting.
In the negative, I'd say a good parent is someone who isn't self-centered and doesn't humiliate his child because of his own insecurities. Someone who doesn't make his child doubt himself.
I used to believe that an acceptable parent was just someone who didn't physically abuse his child and provided food, shelter, clothing and schooling. Now I know that's not enough.
The children of openly alcoholic, drug addict, physically abusive parents are "lucky" (in a very twisted way, of course), because when they share their experience most people will understand and empathize.
But the true "genius" is when you can humiliate, ridicule, exploit and psychologically abuse your child without overstepping the socially acceptable boundary. Achieving that "sweet point" where you can maximize the abuse and the damage while maximizing the deniability. Because when the child talks about it, everyone around will just shrug and say that it was a joke, that it was nothing, that it was the child's fault, that maybe the child didn't perceive it accurately, that that's the way things are, that it's impossible because your parents love you dearly... The true "genius" is getting away with as much abuse as you can and making your child believe that it's his own fault or that it's for his own good.

2025-11-15 02:22:34 UTC

- reply

Arrogance is assuming that everyone is ready to be a good parent. People who aren't ready maybe shouldn't have children.
In your framework, the well-being of the child does not seem to matter at all; only the enjoyment of the parents is what matters. Maybe buy a pet instead.

I am getting triggered while watching this video. I am not bothered by normies using bitcoin their own way. They are taking baby steps and probably doing the best they can. I am bothered by "bitcoin educators" legitimizing all that and implying that we should abandon principles and ignore reality. That you can leave bitcoin at a exchange/bank and do KYC willy-nilly and you will always escape the consequences; that you can pay with a "bitcoin" debit card and you will never get blocked or questioned; that bitcoin can coexist with the nation-state as we know it; that normies should remain forever in a toddler-like state; and so on.
I have noticed this trend since Trump has taken office (from several "influencers", not just you). For now, it might feel sweet, but in four years he will likely be gone. What will you do then? Think in the long term.

So what happens when there is a correction in the price? How is he going to pay? Because MS shares will drop and lenders will demand their principal back rather than MS shares.
If you want to play fiat games you have to abide by the fiat rules. One of them is that markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent (here, "irrational" means bitcoin correcting). Or do saylorites believe that the fiat bosses will just watch and do nothing while their system gets destroyed by a single dude? That looks too naïve to me.
And MS's bitcoin is not spread. Only the MS's shares are spread. You are assuming that the rule of law will hold. If it does, we don't need bitcoin in the first place. If it doesn't, MS will be intervened/nationalized when it crashes.
