Dissidents need privacy a lot more than the wealth, who can afford other means to defend them selves. See HRF's work with bitcoin powered activists, they are far more sophisticated than the bitcoin rich.

OK I freaking love that you guys found a way to do SP with onchain zaps. I also love this for a bunch of other wrong reasons, like now you can send nfts to people's nostr npubs lmao.
but also, i hate it because nsecs are the most prostituted secrets in bitcoin, even with remote signing. Time to improve the nostr id security stack. heard of frostr.org ?
This is the best solution to the key roation issue i've found, short of a key revokation NIP being widely adopted.

You know what I hate about twitter? and social media in general but maybe there's a format that fixes it.
Any remotely contentious debate has a high chance of devolving into an ego-fueled, chest-pumping game of who is the biggest asshole.
Would love to see a no-nonsense UI that was focused on concise but thoughtful discussion.

wouldn't there be an op return tag at the beginning and end of each 80 byte set?
since what core enabled is multiple op returns per tx.
Doesn't sound like its raw data uninterrupted.

"You don't know who will find the next block, what will be in it, how long it will take," this is not strictly true, on fee estimation. we may not have perfect knowledge of it, sure but we have statistical knowledge by proxi of difficulty adjustment targeting 10min avg block time and hash rate per pool, which by proxi lets us know what kind of transactions they are likely willing to mine.
Further, if filter positive pools are missing profits that spam enjoying pools are capturing, that in the long term will run the filterors out of business.

Was just trying to verify ThomasV's pgp key and found this random comment on reddit userful, primarily because it is so old and has the same fingerprint.

You know it would be cool? If you could put a bounty on posts, by adding that sets to it like a zap. And then people could earn those SATs by consuming the post watching it or whatever. Of course bots would take this immediately. But if you could wave a wand and solve the bot problem, then this would be the equivalent of a distributed ad network.
Some solutions to the problem include just requiring all accounts to have x amount of SATs locked up for why amount of time on the end pub or associated public address. The orange check mark idea. It's complicated quickly but the future would be cool.
Good work better for the dms. You could DM somebody with a SAT inside. They would have to read the DM to claim the set. It would bypass the ball problem because people would only send it to people that are real. It would be their own stats at stake after all.
