When the other alternatives are hyperinflation/central bank digital currencies( & good luck, getting your value out of an etf the moment you need it) taking the time to learn how to properly self custody & use Bitcoin is not that complex.. Anybody can learn how to do it if they just take the time to learn and practice. There is a plethora of bitcoin mentors/guides out there. There's no excuse in the face of the alternatives that are coming.

Long story short around 2014 I learned enough about bitcoin to use the dark web, the next 8 years we're spent getting further and further into my drug addiction and making a disaster of my life. I eventually forgot all about Bitcoin completely. I got sober for good in 2022 and luckily was able to turn my life around. I came across a news article in 2024 about Bitcoin and it officially launched me down the rabbit hole full speed and I think it helped I had that first exposure to it already. And when you start down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, you inadvertently end up learning about a million other things, that, on the surface, don't seem to be related to Bitcoin,but in fact, couldn't be more related. So fediment, although directly related, was just one of the many things I have come across that i'm trying to understand, not that there was anything significantly special about it itself. Sorry for the long autistic response.

Well said. Yeah thats true. Bottom line, they can regulate all they want and issue all the derivatives they want on top of bitcoin but they can't control the base layer. They can't stop peer to peer transactions and thats the heart of bitcoin. At the end of the day, no matter what happens with Bitcoin, We're better off in a world with it than without it.

Im very bullish and hopeful for the future, but I just can't shake the fear of the global monetary powers trying to somehow make it illegal to self custody eventually like what they did to gold in the 30s..its nauseating and exhausting how relentless they are and hell bent on capturing it. Can they please just fuck off and let the world have something good happen to it for once. Privacy technology has never been more necessary & the emergence of web five and the importance of running our own nodes. It's going to be interesting, seeing how it will play out but I am always hopeful.
