I think the killer features are simple:
1. Actually decentralised. Not tomorrow, not theorical, not a work-in-progress. Decentralised: NOW.
2. WebXDC apps taking advantage of that decentralisation are going to be one of its biggest pulls. PixelSocial can entirely overtake local neighbourhood/family FB groups for example once is a bit more feature-complete.
3. Everything's encrypted without annoying you like Matrix
4. UI feels famiiliar like old pre-FB-purchase Whatsapp. Smaller learning curves or no curves at alll, are awesome.

To be INCREDIBLY FAIR
Deltachat has improved so much in so little time I'm astonished at how easy to use it has become now.
You do not need to think of servers, you automatically get an account when you install it and log in.
You do not need to complicate to be found, you just share a link, as it should have been from the beginning, not just a QR anymore.
I'm very pleasantly surprised.
Now they need to simplify running your own chatmail relay because I want to use my own domain name for multiple purpose-ready accounts.
There's definitely no reason to use Matrix or XMTP anymore.

Back to work today, got a 20 threads, 10 cores intel i9 gorgeous machine with 64GB of RAM courtesy of @npub1vxs…e5wu running nixos and I'm learning EVERYTHING I can on running remote builds to use my BigPC config on this more powerful tiny PC because I can see this happening often (me moving and needing power but not necessarily needing it locally).
Part of my HUNGER for freedom will eventually involve setting up powerful yet low-consumption machines in trusted friend places. e.g of places where people would be fine with this: Adrian, Remi, Sergio, my sister, my aunt, David (ex), even Carlos.

Opened sometihng on youtube, it goes incredibly slow on firefox.
Decided to try in Chrome. IMMEDIATLEY had ads.

Now that I'm back using my android phone more I'm so happy being able to toot from @npub1rx6…pdar again. Everything works as none of the (even paid) Mastodon clients for iOS can achieve. On my iPhone I have to use icecubes to post but feditext to post images. Feditext loses drafts continuously, and icecubes cannot post images tagged as sensitive.
Wherever you go in iOS every app is in some way broken.

So thanks to this link given to me by @npub170l…kjkq I understand now Git a lot better, specially towards the end of the explainer.
But now I have a thousand questions about patches and stashes. I just can't understand why stashes cannot be saved remotely.
The use case is clear: you are changing your work setup from a PC to another because you're not in your big PC at home, but out and about on your laptop, you DO NOT want to commit anything to any branch, you just want your current stash from PC_A to PC_B over the net.

I can record a video and show you exactly what i mean. You'll see keyboard working fine elsewhere while a lag between typing and showing what I typed on Deltachat.

@npub1swc…y2dn using both the electron version and the iOS version.
iOS version is quite decent, desktop electron version needs to be polished. It's so slow my typing is not shown on the screen as I type.
But I can see a lot of promise on it. It can definitely do what Matrix can't by not creating a new standard for what's already there. I think the ingenuity behind it is its strength => email as the most authentic form of federation.
I like it
Needs fix: finding contacts, sharing contacts, it cannot be based just on QR sharing.
