1) I love being surrounded by plants, green or floral, so I plant many.
2) Easily identifiable ones are satisfying, many are not!
3) Informal, I'm very fond of the iNaturalist app.
4) Native means different things - has grown here forever grows easily and isn't invasive, has been here ~200 years and people like it. I like learning what actual category things fall into.
5) With phone apps so I have a record of what I found/ID'd
6) 5? It totally depends on the day!

I've been in quite a few embassy ballrooms. I couldn't find any pictures of the interior, but this building was four stories tall and the ballroom was open all the way up - that's the biggest difference I find. Hotels and the like tend to have ceilings at ceiling height.
My memory of this place was singing carols in December standing *underneath* the lowest branches of the tree they had set up in the main hall.

If that article is right and one of the things they'll drop is the OG blue box, I think they'll lose a large part of the few few who are still buying.
Real cheese is irreplaceable, especially in mac & cheese, but Kraft Macaroni & Cheese is a specific taste that has nothing to do with real cheese (or any other faux cheeses to be fair).

Oh I just meant I use the word - I avoid the product like the plague.
"Top grain" leather is equivalent to pleather. They glue the tiniest amount of actual leather to a plastic base, but can legally refer to it as leather. It peels off in months and you're left wondering why you spent the money on "the real stuff", when the reality is - you didn't.

Pleather is still the term I use, it's been around since the 70s! Unless it's one of the mushroom leathers or other small batch leather alternatives...but those are scarce enough that you would never miss the price difference!

I think it's more that the public market, where people go to buy consumables, was also where they sold slaves. They were literally considered the equivalent to a loaf of bread or a chicken.
There is likely not a single "Market Street" on US soil that didn't serve as a place where slaves were sold.
