- These (AI) tools can be used to enslave us, or they can be used to empower us. And we need to make sure that the freedom tech side is accessible, user friendly and powerful because that's what hedges, that's what pushes back against the dystopian future. - I just want to say loud and clear here, #BIP-110 is an attack on Bitcoin. I'm greatly disappointed in everyone who is riling up a mob, trying to pressure people into doing it. These people will fail. History will look back on them horribly. And you can try and cancel me, but I don't really care about your fucking popularity contest. I do not give a shit. Bitcoin is the best money. We need to accelerate freedom money. The enemies are at the gates. And it's now or never. My family relies on this shit. Marty's family relies on this shit. - I feel like seeing open-source developers of critical open-source software release an update (Sparrow v2.4.0 - @nprofile…ggrj), immediately be one of the most trending posts on Nostr, and receive one of the larger zap loads that a post has gotten this week, is a really cool sign to see. That's where I'd like to see the future go. I'd like to think @nprofile…ef4r, in a lot of ways, is a stopgap accelerant into a world where ideally bots and humans are funding maintainers of software projects that they need directly using Freedom Money.

- Maybe you think Bitcoin developers shouldn't get any funding whatsoever - I would disagree with you on that. I think critical open source developers should not have to worry about rent and should have some financial stability. We can agree to disagree on that. It doesn't matter if you don't want them to get funded - they will find funding from someone, and it will be funding from malicious actors and questionable sources like Epstein or some company that has ulterior motives and wants to fuck with Bitcoin, and will pay them a big salary. And so the answer there - if you're concerned about malevolent funding and bad funding and bad incentives - is to offer a different path where they can have ethical, transparent, reliable funding. *That's* the answer. It's not complaining on social that we should just defund all the developers. And that's why @nprofile…c5h4 exists. And maybe you disagree. We have 371 grants out. Maybe you disagree with a couple of them or 10 of them - that's a fucking win. It's like, okay, so you agree with 360 of them. That's a pretty fucking strong hit rate. And we try and lean to "fund" rather than to "not fund". As it should be.

Yo @nprofile…7rv0 @nprofile…049m, I am brewing to be just that! Currently select delightful RHR moments going all the way back to 2018 + recent ones. Starting with the very very first one in the midst of the 2018 dump where you guys were debating Macallan vs Jack depending on which way things go :) That was at $6,273 and the network was at a whopping 47.6 EH/s.

- Bitcoin to me has always been the ultimate safe haven. Where else would I keep my wealth? It's so uniquely risk-reduced because you're not trusting third parties. But if you got onboarded through your Schwab account into buying a Japanese hotel company that is stacking bitcoin, then of course you're going to think of it as a risk asset. You're never going to think of it as safe haven, because it's not a safe haven in that situation. So, here we are... Stay humble, stack sats.

- I like proof of work, because I think that even if you're not a miner, you go to work in the morning. And then you can convert that work into Bitcoin.
