The Pilot Kakuno is a surprisingly good fountain pen to write with for the price. This is the F, on regular office 100 gsm paper folded to A7. More on the cheap but good writing instruments I’m using in the next #ptpl post.

Last week I found a 100ml bottle of one of my favourite Herbin #fountainPen #ink colours (Poussière de Lune, or moon dust) for only a little more than the glass bottled 30ml version!

My precious baby grandson lived for 11 short days. We are devastated, but so very thankful we got to stroke his tiny head and say au revoir — till we meet again!

For the first time since getting my first email address in the late 90s, I am consistently at inbox zero! Feels amazing, like I am the Superwoman of email right now.
Thank you to Carl Pullein for clarifying the process and making it feel doable. The teachers were always there, perhaps, but until recently this student was not ready.

After asking how it knew where I was, it told me it didn't know how it knew and definitely shouldn't be able to know that. Reported (not that it'll do any good). #ai

#Gardening in someone else’s garden is more fun than in my own. Doesn’t hurt that here in #Victoria there isn’t the immediate threat of leaches, funnel web spiders, and venomous snakes that we have in #NSW!
We don’t dig in the backyard without covered limbs, sturdy shoes, and several glass jars to catch the funnel webs (and drop them off for milking later).

Thank you for the info, I didn’t know that. I’m still leaning toward the Siupernote. They have an Aussie distributor, and I very much like the idea of a user-replaceable battery and pen nib that doesn’t need replacing.

Well JB sells them. I’d rather buy tech from a tech store with a good after sales service track record, than from a hardware store where the staff likely know little about them.

Leaving these notes in an #app that doesn't give you control over your data is like leaving money—that's not backed by precious metals—in the bank.
Both could be frozen, or disappear, at any moment. No, that's not scaremongering. If you think locked-in notes data and #CBDC sound awesome, I'd invite you to explore the definition of true #freedom.
If you must use a locked-in app, you'd better have a robust #backup system in place. #obsidian
