Just pushed a big update to Zap Alerts
Rebuilt how zaps flow through the system. Everything's more stable and easier to build on. Lots of reliability improvements.
The big visible feature: Fiat mode (I know, I know). You can now display alerts in your local currency.
Also overhauled the website. Added a full widget showcase, better guides, and FAQ.

You might be able to do this nicely at the relay level.
“Top up” your relay account with sats. Each note uses some of your balance. If you only connect to these type of “pay to post” relays then every post will have been paid for. It also solves the question of why anyone would run relays for free Additionally any client that allows relays selection would work with this type of paid relay. No special client interaction needed for paying at the time of post.
And if users don’t want it they can stick with the “no fee to post” relays. Let’s see which provides better value.

I have just release an updated version of Zap Alerts ⚡️
A big thank you to everyone who tested it out and gave feedback.
The updated version should be easier to use. I have rearranged the settings menu to make the flow more intuitive and less overwhelming to see all the options on first load. I have also chased down lots of bugs.
I will now start working on some video tutorials and guides to demonstrate how to get your zaps on stream with Zap Alerts.

You can see the new flow in the video below.

I am unsure why it could not find the events.
Did you set the event in your browser? And if so after you created your settings in the browser did you export them and then load them again in to OBS. The storage of OBS is not shared with your web browser so settings must be exported from the browser and then imported into OBS.
If it was not this perhaps it was the event type you were using. Can you give me a specific event ID and I will test with that and make sure I can get everything working?
Linking an npub + specific event kind is a great idea.
I truly appreciate your feedback and you testing it out. I have implemented a lot of feedback suggestions already and hopefully will have a new version out soon with all the improvements.
Regarding the OBS source being green there is a toggle under global settings to change the background to transparent. Perhaps I should have this default to being checked so that it displays correctly in OBS.

This is what the Zap Alert looked like live as I sent you a zap.
This alert is customized with the screen takeover glitch overlay as well as showing the zap and sender details.
If you were streaming live you could have different amounts all display differently. Bigger zaps giving bigger alerts, sounds, text-to-speech and animations.
