@nprofile…2ynj Arsenic and Old Lace was way more interesting than I thought it would be. Not that old movies can't be good or anything, but I was just assuming it was some old 40s romcom. Instead, Cary Grant gets married right at the beginning (even though he makes his living writing books going full MGTOW level 8.3 monk ghost that are called "Marriage Bad, Don't Ever Get Married" proving the old MGTOW saying that every MGTOW is one blowjob away from becoming a male feminist) and he goes off to his aunt's house where he grew up and after a couple minutes finds out that both of his kindly old aunts have been mass murderers the entire time. That's on top of his (older?) brother who goes around pretending to be Teddy Roosevelt (when Cary calls the nut house they tell him they already got plenty of those, although not many Napoleons these days). Then this giant Frankenstein ass nigga comes in later, with Peter Lorre (as himself?) and it turns out THEY just killed someone and are looking for a place to hide the body. It is jinx most hi featuring tons of prior murders and a ton of potential immediate murders.

@nprofile…2ynj Hellsing Ultimate is almost shockingly good except for the fact that they just adapted the manga accurately, unlike the godawful first Hellsing anime where they took like 5 pages of the manga and stretched it out to a half hour of everyone standing around going "heh, religion? More like... stupidity! The religious sheeple are so easily controlled, fufufu" just over and over. In Hellsing the manga and the OVA they just cut off the conversation by surprise instagibbing the bad guy (and blowing police girl's huge hefty melker right the fuck off).
The fact that they adapted the manga is why it's not "shockingly" good, it's like "oh wait yeah they should've just done that in the first place." It's not so surprising when the source material was already good, then you realize it's what you SHOULD be expecting. It's better to not be surprised that's something's good, it's better when it should be good and then it is good.

Again, rekieta got caught, that was his only real problem as far as his friends are concerned. Not a single one of them would admit he had any problems UNTIL he was arrested. If it wasn't for the arrest, they'd still be defending him, the same way the others who haven't been arrested yet are being defended and praised right now.

@nprofile…88ve @nprofile…kw8s @nprofile…r70d It was very goofy but surprisingly interesting and well made. Even if you ignore any of the story, the visuals had a lot of work into that.
I think that anyone SHOULD be right to dismiss a movie just because it looks good. I also think that people who make movies or art should always be trying to learn the best ways to make things look interesting or cool or fun or dynamic or engrossing, or whatever way you can pull in the viewer or reader or whoever it is.
Also, it had Captain Joe from Fugitive Alien in it.
