You can argue with free markets and capitalism, but at the end of the day, it's the actions and consequences of those actions that determine whether you're a bitcoiner or a scamster.

That's the beauty of it. #Bitcoin leverages and attracts human greed and selfishness like a black hole. The thing is, it has a tremendous success rate at spitting out changed people on the other side once the process is finished.

Part of his argument for sure.
Other argument is that we could create sidechain providing great privacy.
Issue with this arguments are two in my opinion:
1. We can achieve really great privacy on regular L2s and lightning as well. It just needs some time.
2. Due to small anonymity set on sidechain the privacy is highly questionable anyway.
So yeah, I don't see any argument sufficiently strong and urgent in my eyes. But what do I know, I'm just 80IQ pleb.

How to upgrade yourself effortlessly and subconsciously?
They say we are a combination, or at least heavily influenced by four or five people with whom we spend the most time.
I believe this to be true to a large extent when I look back on my life. In retrospect, I can see how each group of people I hung out with influenced me and contributed to where I am in life today.
I changed these groups several times, not intentionally, but as a result of natural development and the evolution of my hobbies. To a certain degree, it's within everyone's power to choose the people they surround themselves with and engage with.
One neat trick I discovered is to engage in longer (preferably solo) travel for extended periods (a month or longer).

Why solo? Because it encourages more intense interactions and communication with people.
Why a month or longer? For the same reason.
I realized that through my travels, I met numerous people. Some I spent a few days with, and others only a few hours, but they left a strong impression on me.
I observed certain qualities in them that inspire me and sometimes help guide me.
In short, think about the people you interact with most of the time. Also go travel. Try to actively think about what makes people you are surrounded with interesting or where the good vibes are radiating from.
What communities influenced you the most throughout your life?
For me that is for sure #bitcoin, my colleagues and last but not least #Stargate fandom...

I am honestly very skeptical about #bitcoin ETF everybody's talking about.
I have zero confidence and trust in institutions and that the paper bitcoin they will provide will be backed 1:1 by the actual asset. (Not mentioning evaporation of the fundamental benefits of bitcoin itself.)
Maybe it'll be backed 1:1 for couple of days or months, but this will too inevitably break. As everything that is controlled by such institutions. It's just a way for corporations to get exposure to bitcoin price, while it will still be only on-chain self-custody purchases that will actually move the price.

You will never save everyone from getting scammed. There always will be someone gullible enough.
But you can reduce the number of scammers by:
- Pushing them out of your friend-circle which will incentivize people to act in good faith to keep friends. To not be alone.
- Also in the world operating on #bitcoin the prosperity of every single individual would be so much better, much less people would have the need to become scammers.
- Education would be better too. This would mean less gullible people in the first place.
I think we can't even foresee all the positive changes if we lived in more free, less controlled world.

Brainstorming:
How would you modify your Trezor or other HW wallet to be able to spot if someone manipulated with it and/or switched it for identical model with corrupted firmware.
Ideas:
- Custom loading screen, but should be fairly easily cloned
- Having it stored in a way that it's obvious if someone physically moved it
- Some special custom made seal

Unless the initial amount you're referencing is zero. Because ½ of 0 is 0. And so is ⅓ or ⅒
So inflation is not a theft as long as people have nothing to be stolen. 🤯
And people have nothing to be stolen from them if they keep their corn 🌽 in #bitcoin and if their wages are paid in bitcoin too.

I've met with some core devs during #bitcoin pizza day.
Feels strange. Listening to challenges and issues that the protocol is facing and how much work remains to be done.
In a way it felt quite pessimistic thinking how lightning might not be the ultimate L2 scaling solution due to many challenges it faces but at the same time potential solutions are being worked on as we speak and new ones are popping up every day all over the world.
One thing is sure. We're early.
Imagine bunch of geeks in hoodies involved in development of global world money chilling in basement, drinking, smoking, laughing. Quite the opposite of World fucking Economic Forum...

Bring in important creators and influencers. People will follow.
Just as people followed Joe Rogan to Spotify. Few people like this on #nostr and the landscape will start to change dramatically.
Also educating people on importance of freedom of speech and how #nostr enables it is a big one. But most people don't care and those who do likely are familiar with nostr already.

If you want to effectively short the state, take as much and as big loans as you can and buy #bitcoin - you're basically creating more inflation, dumping fiat into the market while securing hardest asset ever engineered.
Wait for the price to go up. Repay debts so you can take more and bigger loans.
Rinse & Repeat.

My guess is it tracks posts with #bitcoin hashtag and/or where it's tagged. And then uses algorithm to analyze keywords and compose post from pre-prepared paragraphs of text. And probably leveraging ChatGPT to certain degree as well.
