With stories you'd probably index the videos, then use kind 1111 comments on each video. You could have collections of stories, maybe pinned to a user homepage.

Yes! I am grateful that we're forced to code slower than we can think, in this case.
We only have so much free time to write the code, but we can think and discuss in any spare moment. By the time we're working on code the ideas have had plenty of time to settle, and many of the better ones have already risen to the top.

Backend code is different, somewhat, but frontend code comes out best when there's a mockup from the start. Otherwise you waste time reworking to accommodate changes as you figure out a sensible UX. I'm certainly guilty of this.

Now my question is how relays handle it. If they index the whole d tag array, rather than just the first value, than an event which, for whatever reason, has multiple values in the d tag array would be impossible to access via parameterized lookup.

I don't do anything to pull author from the document yet, though I will add that soon. Asciidoctor has some nice convenience methods that automatically parse fields like author out of the document.
Thank you for reminding me to include author and version information in the d tag, I hadn't thought about that detail yet.

I've done the same thing: self-hosted on my laptop.
The thing is, a Lightning node has to be on to send and receive zaps. Laptops aren't the best for that because they're designed to be easily shut off and carried around.
My solution is to have the Alby Hub on my laptop as my personal "bank," and use a separate wallet (Minibits, in my case), to send and receive zaps on Nostr.
So I can refill my Minibits wallet from the Alby Hub, then turn off the hub. Or vice versa I can send sats to the hub, then turn it back off. So most of my sats are in the hub and self-custodied, but I'm not using it as my "daily driver."
All that being said, to get the hub working with Nostr zaps, you'd have to set it up with Nostr Wallet Connect. Without NWC, it should be able to receive sats over your Alby address as long as the hub has a channel open. However, I think you'd have to manually approve zaps on the hub, unless you connect the app from which you're sending zaps with NWC. And then it would work as long as you laptop is online.
I'm still learning this stuff myself, but that's what I've gleaned so far. Happy to chat about it more, if it will help!

Just a thought: maybe you could separate the metadata event from the human-readable descriptions and conversation.
The issue/cover letter event could reference other events needed to reconstruct an issue thread, including a PR description, references to code or commits, comments, etc.
This could use a model similar to the index events in @nprofile…xcg6's Nostr Knowledge Base spec.

Every day I'm trying to do a little project or other. It's good but also tiring.
We're putting a garden bed together so my wife can start her garden. To that end we got some manure and hay from the property her parents just bought.
I put a skim-coat of joint compound on the last big wall in the living room. Now just to sand the imperfections, prime, and paint (though we're still picking a color).

Yup.
If you use Amber, your nsec never leaves Amber. So what happens is, say, Amethyst creates an event without signing it, encrypts it, and puts that encrypted event into the content field of another event. That wrapper event is them signed using a temporary/disposable nsec (because everything has to be signed) and sent over to Amber.
Amber then unwraps and decrypts the event it was asked to sign, the encrypts the signed version, wraps it up in another event, and sends that back to Amethyst.
Then Amethysts unwraps and decrypts the now-signed original event and broadcasts it.
All that is required to generate an nsec is to fill a 32-byte array with random numbers. The paired npub is mathematically derived from those 32 bytes, and you have a keypair.
The upshot is that clients that use NIP-46 need key generators.

Bitcoiners and Nostriches are, frankly, elites by broad standards. Many are knowledge workers who can work remotely with a good Internet connection, and many others are homesteaders or otherwise interested in self-sufficiency. That's far from the middle of the population bell curve, by any standard.
As you said, if that's the target audience, then yeah, you can move out of the cities. But that's a small fraction of the population at large.

Nah there was no app. Just put the ID in a slot and it look into a camera. I assume they have closed-loop software that does image matching.

Fair. I guess the thing that the statistics miss is that most people tend to gravitate towards others in the same cohort. So despite the calculators of doom, there are actually probably a lot of people adjacent to someone's life that fit their reasonable standards.
