Holding the cold ice is regulating, throwing the ice is fun, smashing the ice into the pavement is also extremely satisfying. I just finished The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett and then picked up The Pairing by Casey McQuistion because my library hold came in. The blurb didn't make me want to buy it, and I'm feeling like that was the right choice for me. McQuiston books are always very *readable*, but a few aspects of this one aren't sitting right with me. (I'm at 30% or thereabouts).

My ebike is heavier than that, but omg I love her. She’s a cargo bike so that I can pick up P3 from school, or bring him with me on errands if we don’t have to pick up too much cargo. It’s so fantastic for our hilly area, it’s allowed me to see places I’d never been before in a car!

Oh man, I love beans. So here’s the thing, there’s such a huge difference in the taste of canned vs home cooked beans, because you can flavour them yourself. Canned beans are fine, but if you’re looking to help yourself *enjoy* the taste of beans, might be worth doing up a batch in your slow cooker or stovetop (instant pot not required!)

Lately I’ve been thinking about owning physical copies of games. I mostly play #Switch now, so this is what I’ve got. I bought Coffee Talk 1 & 2 on eBay, Hades also on eBay, Cuphead and Zelda ToTK from a guy on marketplace. I obviously own many more games than this, but only digital. What Switch games do you consider to be your “must haves”? If I favour physical games going forward I have to know what I want to buy before it comes out. ☠️

I bought the printer with the idea of printing art prints with it. I did not print art prints except a few samples at the beginning. It sucks. We had a laser printer but it was a Brother V had from a billion years ago and it died. If I printed a lot I would get one, I guess! I know they're great for printing.

No, the process was pretty simple! I used the app on my phone to do it (so that I could easily add photos). It guides you through it, even down to adding shipping and measuring the package you'd send in, if you like, so you can pre-calculate the cost.
The issue I was having is that one person bid twice, one person bid once, and the bid has remained the same the whole time. But Liv explained to me that each person set their max bid at the same amount!

Can I offer you a not egg in these trying times? I made these again tonight after not doing it for ages. I have a mild egg intolerance, eggs make my tummy hurt sometimes. These are honestly a *really* impressive substitute.
I add asafoetida to the sauce and a bit less onion and garlic powder for GERD reasons. The kala namak is really essential, it gives that eggy-ness.

I calculated that with inflation what we paid then would cost $3800 now. Which is close to the cost of having it redone. Come to think of it, though, I should check the same brand? Apples to apples. I like supporting local artisans, too! Someone would probably take this couch so true, not straight to a landfill.

We're talking about having our 2004 couch recovered instead of buying a new couch and I'm kind of torn about it. It's expensive - probably cost more than a new couch.
However, the couch style is still great. It would keep a piece of furniture out of the landfill, as well as paying money to a local business. We'd get to choose our own fabric instead of the bland stuff (grey, grey, white, black, grey, muted blue) available at a lot of places. So even though it costs more - might be worth it?

1. I accidentally mixed up and donated two pairs of merino base layer bottoms to goodwill. This is good because someone else now has merino bottoms and they won’t have cold legs.
2. I replaced them with a new top/bottom set and they’ve got a stripe on the side of the top and bottom that matches PERFECTLY so I look like a Norwegian race car.

It is actually VERY SURPRISING how few menus in Canmore have basic mac & cheese. I found: penne pasta with alfredo & grana padano, linguine with butter and parmesan, pasta & cheese sauce (unspecified pasta), pasta with butter & cheese, ONE mac & cheese at the Grizzly Paw, and the Good Earth. They're big on grilled cheese and fancier pasta out there, apparently. 😂

@npub1gz4…eklc Hey Josh do you have opinions or advice for choosing a starter martial art for a 7.5 year old boy? (7.75, he would correct me if he could read this) I’ve found one reputable seeming judo, taekwondo and karate school relatively nearby.

We had one when I was a kid that was round. It made these hilarious, round loaves with a huge hole in the bottom where the paddle went. They did taste good though! Not practical for toast.

I’ve really turned around on it and this blend did it, now I like it on its own too. 🥰
