It was oinky. Not at all like the TV Ad showed it working😆
You probably noticed the extra blocks under the first turn to keep cars from launching over the side. Also the exposed wheel car upside down on the track before the first turn. That type of car (exposed wheels) didn't work with the Super Chargers spinning sponge wheels🙄
Butch would lay ON the track too. Didn't seem to mind the cars running into him🙂

Sorry to hear this... but thanks for pointing it out😑
Quick look at the Wiki page gives me a clue as to what might be going on with my left leg. Started last October, better now but still not right. Might be related to tweaked lower back in early August that had cleared up in a couple weeks. Which is the usual time of recovery for my back.
My recumbent exercise bike was still doable when leg was at its worst. Walking, other than short distances like a mile hurt a lot. I had been walking 9 miles a day till this happened.
Getting old sucks😆

I have a medium size Bogen tripod that I put quick detach gun sling swivels on. That worked pretty well on day hikes with a big fanny pack. But the whole hike was for water fall pics. Kinda needed it😆

Some musing...
If you have a polarizing filter they will usually add some darkness, slowing shutter speed a bit.
If you're using a tripod might want to try an HDR setting on camera or multi-shot bracketing with different f settings. Combine the images later on via computer. I used to have problems with the Sun and white areas being burned out or shadows too dark. Overcast days are best but not always an option when your time is limited.
Nowadays I think I'd try shooting 3-5 images spaced out 5-20 seconds using a tripod. Try combining them later on in a software stack...

Not often (here anyway) that you can shoot from so many perspectives. "Stay on Trail". "No Climbing on Fence or Rocks"...
Many years ago when I was using 35mm + tripod I'd take both fast (frozen water) and slow frothy pics. Pros usually want to see froth but some of my personal faves were taken fast🤷‍♂️

These are Atlas, 30 by 9 inches at widest point with aluminum frame. The "cleats" are under the ball of your foot and heel. The decking is a tough rubber like material. I trimmed some of it away so the front of my Mickey Mouse boots would work with them. Have always had a terrible time keeping my feet warm. Also added the plastic wrap (like wire harness armor) around the exposed frame in the back where they drag while walking...
Bought these in the mid to late 1990's. Worked good for me up north but I rarely get the chance to use them anymore. Don't know how relevant this is with all the offerings available nowadays😐

That's an extra 3-4 Stops on many cameras😉
Most camera metering is for getting the correct exposure against a neutral gray color. In a studio or planned setup in nature a neutral gray card could be used to set the metering, then take photo with those settings😆
Depending on the camera sometimes you can frame the wanted subject in the center (spot metering) and lock the settings. Then reframe the picture and take photo. Half push on shutter button for my capable cameras. Works for focus too.
Some cameras have special settings for "snow" or "beach" which can help...
