This piece by @npub1fdr…lvhs - thrillingly revolutionary as ever - has an honorable mention of my homecountry that made me smile: “He doesn't need tanks to steal Greenland. He can just shut off Denmark's access to American platforms like Office365, iOS and Android and brick the whole damned country. jeg er ikke ekspert, men mit indtryk er at det handler om at en server skal vide med sikkerhed at et api kald kommer fra den rigtige app, så man ikke f.eks. kan lave en MenID app som ligner og opfører sig som NemID.

I haven’t been to a conference in ages and am considering to go to something #python related that I can get to from Denmark without flying. Can anyone recommend anything? Perhaps @npub1ucw…2uyv or @npub16sn…p2xz?

Also, why are you misrepresenting the price of electricity in Denmark based in a single 3-hour peak which cost the average household the same as a cup of coffee or two?

“head start”? How long ago did the first full scale nuclear reactor go online? And before you go “SMR” or “molten salt” or whatever new tech you think is so promising that we should throw money at it and keep our fingers crossed for twenty years while emissions keep skyrocketing, let’s just be real for second and talk about how we get emissions down before the literal end of the world as we know it.

you forgot to mention that, a couple of days after that price peak, electricity was essentially free in Denmark. And that electricity prices in 2024 were the lowest since the pandemic hit. And your suggestion about building nuclear with government subsidies? I’m wondering if those sweet free money wouldn’t be able to get people investing in offshore wind also…?
