I think it breaks compatability with php 4.x (using dicts), but it should be fixable.

hey, i found a minor bug: When you link to / you get a link to https://domain// instead of https://domain/.
(The problem is, that link paths are just concatinated, instead of doing a proper path joining)
Fixed it for my installation, feel free to include the patch fix_path_joining.patch from https://m8v.de/kiki-patches/ into upstream kiki

hey, after playing around more, i added two new patches (both found here: https://m8v.de/kiki-patches/)
folder_links should be pretty much be explained on the website.
I created include_additional_paths because i realized that copy_theme was not sufficient enough, as i also wanted to copy my .htaccess, the files folder and adding the functionality with a flat for each wouldn't be really helpfull at all, so i decided to add an array where i can specify folders and files to include. Maybe this as an way alone would be more user-friendly (also maybe it should be set to sane defaults, like including the themes folder and files folder)

@npub1yqw…ywz8 hey, I wrote a patch for kiki, which allows automatically copying the used theme into the output if the static site generator. It shouldn't change the default behaviour, as the option is an opt-in. I tried to document everything at the approprriate places.
Feel free to add it to kiki, if you have questions, hit me up.

That would definetly help alot. But i think usabilty wise it would be nice to either: add the slash if needed or error out with an human friendly error message.

I am running it on macos with the php with the following version string:

I think the important parameters are:
$static_generation = true;
$static_pages_dir = "./static";
When running `php index.php` I get e.g. staticindex.html insted of an folder static containing index.html (same for all other files)

hey, your porject looks really interestiing. I tried to play around with it a little, for checkign if i want to use it, and there are 3 problems I found:
- when setting menu_auto_add_pages to false there is only the last menuitem specified in navmenu.bug shown
- when using Parsedown as a render backend there is no (documented) way to specify the tags (e.g. using the yaml frontmatter)
- the static site generation did not work (using php version 8.4.6): there is no added slash between static_pages_dir and the file name (consider using some join path solution like here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1091107/how-to-join-filesystem-path-strings-in-php), it fails on generating subdirectories (they are generated with no read or write permissions), there is no css exported.
