So I finally watched The Substance. It wasn’t bad, but I really expected a deeper plot after all of the rave reviews. I’m a little confused as to what the fuss was about. The acting was great, but the storyline was thin. There was so much to play with philosophically. So much that could have been done, even without getting too moralizing. Maybe I just don’t have a thing for body horror?
